I just want a few opitions on what i may or may not plan on doing with my skipping routine.

I can skip full on for 3 minutes and i dont want to go any longer as its my Anerobic Fitness i want to work on.

So i was planing to do skipping with 5 pounds of leg weights on my ankels or its 2.5kg.....

I know the dangers of this but if i control the bounce and the height so i do not have much inpact on my knees. What ya all think of this and good or bad idea ?????.

i am not an expert but i can suggest perhaps bouncing on a soft surface i.e. grass or sand etc. This might reduce the impact on the knee joints...the concept seems beneficial if done with caution.

I've never really been big on any type of motion that puts that kind of impact on the knees. Take it from someone with joint problems. If you must do it, find a soft surface like karatekid said.

Well its been 2 weeks since i started using leg weights and as long as u dont try to go over board with the impac it is working.

I have me heart rate after the skipping at 180bpm within 30 seconds i can get that down to 110bpm

The idea is working but with care.

Cheers
