  1. this is really bad. you need to make it clear that this is EXTREMELY inappropriate. I hope he never does this to anyone else. And it's totally wrong. This is a calculating, bad pervert, who has been thinking of you for quite some time. nothing is worth putting up with this, leave.
  2. I think not training in other styles is equivalent to not ever leaving your hometown to travel. I think being greatful, respectful & being loyal can still be maintained even if you go train in other styles.
  3. man is a genius! http://youtube.com/watch?v=4mCDZMWVWuc
  4. big fan of the pocket stick. if your into folding knife, then this goes hand in hand when it comes to concepts & techniques.
  5. the other day at a restaurant I didn't really mean to, but I over heard this: Basically that Gorillas are awesome in power then, basically that Tigers are awesome in power. THEN, out of the 3 guys, 2 guys start talking. person 1: Lions, tigers & cats are from the same species. person 2: no way that is true. person 1: the bones are the same. person 2: yeah they have many similarities, but they are also very different. person 1: they are related. person 2: that's like saying a Gorilla that I see in the zoo, & just sits there & does nothing but eat, sleep, can't talk is the same as me. It's crazy to think that if you go far back enough that somehow we share the same ancestor. If that was true, how come they stopped evolving? How come they didn't keep evolving until they became like us?

glad to hear of your progress, but try not to pay too much attention to numbers when it comes to losing weight, they can be decieving to say the least. just have fun & slowly improve your life style!
  7. when I was in highschool, I was on the tennis team, & the bullies did not want to eat a racket as for now, what do I carry? hehehe it rhymes with wife...
  8. I'm one of those that took this saying to heart. A single kata takes a life time to master.
  9. if I look at simillarities, then let's say I'm taking Wing Chun & BJJ at the same time, they both help me improve in either art. but to do this I don't really view so much from a technical stand point, but in principals. attacking center line, breaking body posture establish dominant position attack from an angle
  10. care/maintenance/training, legal aspect, drawing/deployment, court/consequences all these should be taken into account.
  11. for a beginner, I think light weight and chord connection is good. the easier the better to not discourage you.
  12. I think "drawing" should be considered as a major point.
  13. personally Delta Force 2 did it for me. I like the sparring scenes, the fight with Carlos was awesome! The appearance of the butterfly knife made me happy.
  14. wow, lots of questions, I'm leaving a lot of those details up to you. is it a difficult question?
  15. no egomaniacs... a rare commodity these days is compassionate does not cling to their opinions (many people think that if their opinon is logical it is set in stone) not insecure not money hungry not overly demanding does not do favortism does not beat up their students so far I didn't really mention anything about teaching ability or fighting ability...
  16. exaggerate your kicks in a circular fashion. (this is good for joints too) but don't force the height. Go about 70 of how high you can kick. as you develop coordination with this new movement, you can decrease the circle until it starts to look more & more like a regular kick. I do this warm up everyday before I kick. I'd say go here, snoop around & look for Zdrovye. http://www.rmaxinternational.com/ a real eye opener for me.
  17. you with a broom stick vs you without a broom stick... nice to see indomitable fighting spirit. fiesty huh? perhaps you do reflect the username you have chosen after all...
  18. the show has lots of hollywoodness to it, but I still like it very much. My fav. episode was the Judo one.
  19. hypothetically speaking.. wouldn't the other you be able to figure out that you might do that?
  20. ok so which one would you choose & why? purposely did not add both.
  21. Lone Wolf McQuade is one of his best! Boys are just having a little fun.. Wanna join the fun?
  22. general concept: one on one = you can finish them by making sure they can't run, by taking them to the ground multiple opponents = you want to survive, stay mobile, finish them another day.
  23. oh well, I do think you can learn in a gym too
  24. my last tournament I entered was a BJJ one. I was interested to test out my theories because I had some mental strategies that did not come from BJJ. I'm a counter fighter, I like the halfguard which is the lowest postition to fight from on the hierarchy. I picked half guard even though it's the lowest it's also the most realistic. On a good opponent even hoping to get guard maybe a bit too much to ask for. Anyway here is the mental part. Water, Air, Fire in this order is how I anticipated the combat. we start & the guy aggressively charges at me, I yield & get my half guard. He is attacking like crazy, going for headlocks, guillotine attempts, kimura, relentless. At this point I imagine I was hurled into a stormy ocean, & I need to hang & survive, as expected many times I held my breathe. There is tides falling on you, it's only natural. the storm begins to weaken, plus I'm getting use to it. So now I breathe air. feeling my opponent. trying to sense the air of what is going on as well. And thanx to that, I sense the best time, and I'm also very determined, I explode, the fire in me counters him and submits him in an instant. I felt that my technique & mind was able to cooperate under high stress, so I was very happy, and I really thought that fighting is mostly mental. If it's still in the physical part, technical things racing in your mind, then you need to practice your techniques more against this particular opponent. Cause all that should be automatic in order to make it a truly mental match.
  25. exactly this is what I mean, efficient results tend to looks similar regardless of style.
