  1. in spareing with out erm yeah. i found myself easily distracted yes more agressive but instead of watching my oppentents compete i'd be looking into the stands looking at the other sex.
  2. In most fights i've been in i use lower kicks and knee strikes easier to recover harder for someone to block and if by chance you do miss or it gets blocked its easier to recover from.
  3. Is there any good links to show how to do the braiding on the scab board and the handle of katanas?
  4. for practise and for sparring i prefer chain over all. exspecially with a sectioned staff.
  5. i have leather on all of my katanas i like the feel of them best. i have had to only redo the wrapping on my katana once sence i owned it.
  6. i don't know the proper termonology for it. but the braiding on my scab board loosens in the middle and fits my belt i have yet to have it come untied after 5 years of doing this. I'm not sure if its the right way just the way i was taught.
  7. i agree staffs are the best for starting. Sias are also good for starting. thats what i started with
  8. I'd like to see the video as well and for fighting inside thats why there are differnt size blades such as the tanto and the wakizashi (i probly slaughtered the spelling on the last one)
  9. there are a few movies i own on tri staffs i'll get the titles of them soon for you. i been doing those for about 10 years now. fun weapon.
  10. I've had a crash course in several weapons. kama nunchucks bo katana tri section staff claymore broad sword. and even dirks, my weapon of choice is a katana sias are also fun to use.
  11. I only use blades made by Hanwei I have 4 swords made by paul chen and everyone is built like nothing i have ever seen. I prefer the Golden Oriole but that is alittle steep to for a sword around 1,500 for a learning sword i'd go for a Practical which goes for about 250.
