Wow that is an awesome video. You get to see Okinawan karate masters going through their katas. I chuckled at the Okinawans speaking broken english.

We New Yorkers can not have Nunchuckus shipped nor can we have Sais shipped, a lot of martial arts weapons we can't have except swords, bos and a few things.

Good for you! I joined karate not too long ago and I've already made friends and they are all really cool and funny. I have a feeling you will make a ton of friends both your age and adults who can be there to guide you on your karate career and help you.

I don't practice Shaolin Kempo but a few of my friends do and they like it. They practice at the local Villari's dojo in the city they live in. I don't practice it because the local one is too expensive and I live an hour away.

I actually want to get past my Shodan, My goal is to get to San dan and go even further, I like to think of the colored belts as High school, then your dan belts are college. Harder, fun but much harder.

My brother is 6'4 and weights 310lbs and I stand 5'0 and weight 160lbs and He is fast and strong but when we spar I can usually get one or two good hits then he just lays a haymaker on me and that will do it unless i cheat and go for...low blows but I don't unless angered which doesn't happen.

Wow when I e-mailed my sensei I asked pretty much all those questions and he gave me really good answers. I haven't been to class in a few weeks as I accidently broke my stupid foot but He answered most of my questions and is really a good guy.

Has anyone gotten this movie yet? I saw the ad for it and it's supposed to have a MMA star in it. I haven't gotten to the store yet but when i do i'll buy it since I think it'll be a good movie.

Humble that is ok because my neighbors think i'm crazy or possessed by demons. I have been using a walking stick as a bo staff and my neighbor thinks well....i'm a loon.

I have the book and have read half of it and I think that it is a good book on strategy and sword arts.

Ok that would be really cool to have! but I pretty much know where I go when I drive so it would be kinda a waste.

I'm going to get a standing punching bag since I can't hang one in the basement because the ceiling is too low. I'm only 5' and I have to duck in certain areas.

Clash I get the same reaction from people when they drink and I don't. I've tried beer/wine/rum when I was out with friends and it just isn't my cup of tea. Just don't like the taste of alcohol. I prefer soda, water, juice.

WHen you drive your friends and family nuts by talking about martial arts all the time.

My mom practiced for a year a long time ago then quit and my dad made it to Shodan but he studied in Japan During WWII.

Well when you have kids as young as 3 entering martial arts I can understand why some would retire but some might want to explore other Martial arts. Now me personally I want to go as high in martial arts as I can, maybe getting high enough to be a instructor.

I never thought of it like that and it makes sense to me. Why not have a permanent dojo boggles me but I can accept it.

Age is just a number, you know you're too old when you break something easily.

I don't drink and I always try to tell people the dangers of drinking but I guess people just gotta pour foul tasting liquids down their throats. It kills brain cells and damages your liver. Plus if you are a career drinker you could wind up with alcohol coming out your pores. Yeah grosses me out too.

Well against my previous entry, I still think a Dojo isn't a place for making out but I guess as long as it doesn't disrupt the class then I would let it slide but if it got too heavy I would say something to them in private. Well that is if I was the sensei.

Well I don't consider a Dojo a place to be romantic anymore than a regular school is. I could name a bunch of places that are romantic but a dojo isn't on the list.
