new systems in the martial arts
unknownstyle replied to unknownstyle's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
no not yet, he still hasnt decided, it will be a long time before it is a full system. he only has the waza complete up tp nidan -
i just heard that a friend of mine had someone getting in his face and he is a highly skilled martial artist and instead of taking him out which he is more than capable of doing he reached down and tapped the guy on the groin and didnt hurt him at all, this of course destroyed the guy macho ego and went off and cried about it, then later the leadership at his church asked him to not be involved with the leading of things anymore because he touched this guy "inappropriate". what are your views on this, was it the wrong thing to do or a very smart move?

Palm Heel Strike Overrated?
unknownstyle replied to UseoForce's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
just like the one guy said a palm can take a lot more force than your knuckles, when you first start to break cement you use your palm generally not the knuckles, because your knuckle take a long time to condition to the point that you can put excessive force on them and still have use of your hand the next day -
dude in my school for your first test you have to do two two minute rounds that are full contact with only gloves, no footwear or headgear

lay off the kicks if they're screwing you up so much, practice more on drawing the opponent in with his on attack and control him with your lateral movements and that type of thing, then once you learn how to do this you can make your opponent do whatever you want him to do and be able to have the better shots

they could be worth doing if you know what you are doing and are sure that you are going to land it in the correct spot in order to stop your opponent to a halt -
it would really depend on how strong my fingers were, ive seen my instructor go through two unspaced boards likie they were butter, so it really would depend on the strength in my fingers.

its really a mixed style of matsamura seito and matsubayashi shorin ryu, american kempo, and tae kwon do. and has some ground fighting incorporated. it is a very effective system. we're known to be one of the best schools in our area because of our abilities -
