  1. Thats funny Mr. Mike, it would be so hard for me to hold my tongue. If you told him he would have probably just have said it was a different school or something though.
  2. thank you, I will. You must have an amazing instructer
  3. thats like a minimum of 10 years if you are in an easy class where you get promoted in GUPs every 2 months and 4 months later on isn't it? (considering 6 months to get from cho dan bo to black belt and 4 months for the last 4 belts before cho dan bo)
  4. I am usually with 20 other people in class, there has only been once that I have been the only person in my class, and that is because both me and another master instructer (the normal master instructer and instructers were all at a tournament) both came at the wrong time and neither of us realized it until after the lesson. That was my favorite lesson that I have ever had.
  5. Glad to help, though I think that KempoTiger sums it up a bit better than I did lol
  6. my grandparents cannot see very well, and they knew that I was into karate and they got me a boxing video that shows you how to put on handwraps. All I know is that you put the loop around the thumb and start at the wrist. you should wrap tight over your wrist to make it stiff, but not too tight so as not to cut off circulation, then wrap the rest of the hand, how much where kind of depends on what you are going to be doing I guess.
  7. Thank you very much, that is what I wanted to know.
  8. TangSooDo is definately a korean art. Its name was later changed to tae kwan do by the koreans because tangsoodo sounded too chinese. The chinese even had a Tang dynasty.
  9. I am currently enrolled in a Mu duk kwan Tang Soo Do School that I like very much and dont plan to leave, I have been training in tang soo do for 7 months. I can kick high and I am good at all moves besides spinning hook kick, and I would like some realistic background training in a grappling art with good defense techniques. I dont want to enroll in a new school or anything, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a website or a book with some good defense techniques that you would not learn in a school where you only learn a few basic defense techniques.
  10. I would give credit to traditional tae kwan do, or in other words Tang Soo Do
  11. its really a personal oppinion, but I know that I would prefer to have an instructor as my partner over another student, also less people would be better for me too. That is just my oppinion
  12. In order for sparring to be effective on the street, it must be combined with power.
  13. pushups are good for you, they use mainly your shoulders, plus the rest of your body to keep straight. how good pushups are for you depends on if you do them the right way or not.
