  4. while on the grouind instead of using a round house (except to the INSIDE part of the knee) use a side kick to the stomach or groin(if ur attaker is a male)
  5. Ive always heard that tkd is weak and sports orreinted (i agrre) my school used too compeite with tkd and we killed them every year. my instructor would put us green and red belts in with there dans (black belts) and wed still win first place everytime. Anything u can tell me POSSITIVE on tkd
  6. What is Brazzilian Soo Bahk Jitsu?
  7. i beleive (More so have been told by my master) that aggression will blind the attacker and will make it much easyer to win against an opponent
  8. Well first we learn the basics. Then we evolve from that (freestyle) We work on all grips (lepel, sholder, sleve, elbow, wrist, ext.) We sometime get into parterners and pracrice freestlye applications.
  9. i havent eevr heard of that Id realy think about seeing your docter
  10. Sparring should be accipable to real life situation as a beginer you should start sparring by pulling punches but as you become more experienced your instructor should allow you to make mild to moderant contact. Then when you excel to dan (black belts) He'll often allow them to make full contact.
  11. i agree that joint locks are EXTREALY affective but as my Instructor tells me The art gives u the basics expand on them and apply
  12. I'm a practitioner in this Art. I love it more than any other. And i was just wonderin what other SBD prationers thoguth of the Art. And what part of the Art do You think excels beond others.
  13. Soo Bahk Do is neither a hard nor soft style. Which meens that youll have both linerar and cirrcular teq. When tranning in SBD you'll not only lear how to stand and fight but you will learn how to fight on the ground what to do when someone grabs you (any where). Soo Bahk DO doesnt focus on wepons much. however you will learn how to defend against all weapons and will become some-what familliar with a knife and bo staff. Soo Bahk Do and tang soo do are two VERY different arts. Since tang soo do split from hwang kee they both have evolved to become two very differnt arts. If you have any more questions I'd be happy to answer them.
  14. I'm a practioner of Soo Bahk Do. and i would recommend it to any one who wants to learn to "effectively" defend themselves. I have amny storys of my art. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.
