  1. marco antonio barrera is my fav and IMO one of the best pound for pound around today the first barrera V morales fight was one of the best ive ever seen tyson in his prime days too, great speed and power I could go on about boxing all day tho

  4. i use the 15ft wraps, put the loop on my index finger...wrap it around my wrist 4 times, around my knuckles 4 times...then back around each once then velcro at the wrists

  6. yep i do, but i think its coz its mates im sparring with and its to improve and practice techniques, so if your going FULL WHACK against the opponent then injurys will happen and you will be out of training for a while...so i dont hit to my full potential
  7. keep a guard up and move u know 8 corner blocking? its all covered in those blocking techniques
  8. haha lol they are cheap methods i use a floor to ceiling ball, its elasticated and springs, good for reflexes and building ups speed ur club should have one...like a ball that goes...form floor to..erm...celiling

  15. hi there man, welcome to the kickboxing forum, just take it easy until your body has adjusted to working out and doing the moves that you havent done before, get some wrist wraps for punching the bags, practice your stretching at home, flexibility is a major part in it, even when watchin TV just do a wee bit of stretching

  17. was doing a lead leg roundhouse kick today in class, head height....and i heard my groin pull when i kicked out, i could feel a pain around the knee though gonna take it easy for a few days anything i should do? and how long should i not train for?

  21. yeah great advice, also when you reach the limit of your stretch, breathe in...hold it, close your eyes and let your mind go blank, then exhale and push the stretch, you will be able to go a further couple of inches

  23. i train kickboxing 3 times a week at my dojo, also have a gym at home and do bagwork, speedball work, skipping, stretching and some pad work, also some sparring at home i train with the twice scottish champ boxer so he keeps me fit
