I sparred with someone once who didn't have full sparring boots, only pads (which leave the toes open) and her toenail nut my hand and it got infected for a long time and hurt a lot. I truly don't like people who wear just the foot pads and also just the hand pads, without boots or gloves it hurts a lot more, especially lower belts with less control

In one of my classes, we often do a drill where a knife is in the middle of two people, and when the sifu says go, they run for it and try to 'kill' the other person... it's nuts. It's fun in class to do, but also scary because we are not truly skilled with knife fighting and just thinking about how it would be like to do the same drill with someone who knows how to deal with a knife... its scary.. But I love that drill because it reaaally gets your adrenaline up

I know that when i fight, I like to be in left leading cause my reverse punch then is from my strong hand and also my strong kick. I switch it up constantly though to try to catch them off guard... it works pretty good for me

When I do situps, I've noticed that my lower back grinds a lot. It doesn't always hurt, but it feels really uncomfortable and not very healthy. Is there some excersises or something that I can do to stop/reduce this? Any imput would be appreciated.

really? I thought episode II was much much worse. however the original trilogy are in my opinion some of the best movies ever, so they would be hard to match in prequels. that being said i'm planning on seeing ep III; I think it looks better than the ither 2 prequels and even if it turns out to be just as crappy it's still star wars

haha its a made up holiday for stores to leech as much money as they can from people. ive got nothing against gifts (to an extent) but they should be random and not expected cause it loses meaning if it is expected because then its not truly the thought that counts.

My school wears black uniforms (either traditional loopy button thing-up, or cross over) with Ging Wu patch on right arm and school badge on left arm. For special events (black belt ceremony, tournaments as judges etc), Sifus wear blue jackets. I find the bright colors to be waay to flashy and distracting from the important thing of the martial art. The blue traditional jackets thouht looks very nice and formal.

I have one that is a sports bra with pockets for hard shells. Its really low profile and works pretty well. The one I have is called Turtle Shells I think.. not sure.

Man valentines day is such a stupid holiday. Companies try to sell love, and try to promote the mindset that if a guy doesnt spend a lot of money on his girlfriend/wife whatever, that makes him a jerk and somehow diminishes his love for her. It also makes people think that you can be a bad person all year, and on one day if you spend enough money, you can buy someones heart. Aaanyhow I just thought I'd share my perspective with you . I'm truly not bitter and cynical, as much as this post may disprove.
