I think maybe you fail to realize a little something,my I'll use tha word "religion"does tell me how to live, but it goes much deeper than religion or philosophy or martial arts,For me it boils down to being blood bought, and doing everything I do unto him. When I say MA training does not effect my "religion" It means that it dosen't effect my walk with christ. PSALMS 144:1 Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war,and my fingers for battle.
  11. Since you apparently like Karate I woulld say just keep working hard at Shotokan.I would have personally picked any type of Okinawan or Japanese karate regardless of what style it was.Things vary and switch, and different forms, but it's all still tha Karate we love.

  13. Do you have a style in mind that you would like to take?I would do all tha research on that style, then find tha dojo tha best fits your needs, then have your parents go and talk to that instructor.

  17. I was gonna say,it'd be nice to train for more than once a week.......but you can't replace quality instruction, and if your happy there have at it.I would say get a tape/DVD to help supplement your training.and most instructionals have workouts as well,so that'll help ya with your workouts as well, while your not in tha dojo.
