If you are interested in you should look up Zen training. Normally practised in waterfalls as the falling water squashes your body. The main reason is spiritual strenghening as it is extremely cold.

I agree entirely, there is a stream in the forest near my home and also the 'river Wye',(if you look it up near hereford you can see my home. Anyway back to the point training alone offers many benefits, especially with water near.(Something to do with Chi).
