Ever seen that old McDonalds commercial about a boxer talking to his coach in the corner?
boxer - "Hes gett'n to me coach''
coach - ''Remember 10 years ago when you said someone stole your fries,it was him!'' *points at the other boxer*
*boxer stands up in rage*
I'd say you go waterboy on him...adam sandler style.

Im 16 and I study JKD(Vunak System)
I started when I was 15.
Your never to young to start anything, except some schools sometimes have a age limit.
-
because of to much action movies.
-
I once ran into this guy on the street.
I got up and apologized.
Thats about as extreme as it got.
-

Personally I don't think it really matters what colors the belts are as long as there is some order.
Yes,the color of the belt doesnt matter...but camo color?
Why not just make some rainbow color belt...
This is why Im not a big fan of the ATA..they can come up with the most odd stuff.

I am looking more for a grappling art that I could eventually use in competition. I figure I will look more towards BJJ and arts of that nature. Plus I just have a bad feeling about this academy ever since I witnessed the so-called effects of my Sensei's so-called energy.
Its good your not staying at that dojo.It seems the sensei there believes hes got the powers like Pootie Tangs belt
If you cant find a BJJ school,ju jutsu or judo would be a great grappling style that has competition.

I enjoyed Shaolin Soccer more.
Kung Fu Hustle seemed to be less comedic and more on the action. It was a enjoyable movie.
Stephen Chow is a great director.
-
you will be way behind the other guys though.
Doesnt mean you cant catch up quickly

-
I train by always fighting someone extremly aggresive, faster, and more skilled. That way,I have a motive to train harder and take on thugs that seem easier to beat.
-
Im still the same.
I guess it helped me mature a bit more on decisions I should make, but thats probably about it.
-
your going to have to list more characters down.
My favorite is Ermak.
-
The movie itself looks whack.
The whole...''wear your collar and beat people up!'' thing is just..whack.Its like Jet is a dog.
The action looks hot though, probably will se it.

Shouldnt the sports be enough work out?
I mean all those already could build up stamina, muscle mass, light footedness.
Only suggestion would be if you want to start lifting weights,go ahead...but your 14..dont reccomend that just yet.

I'm with everyone else, just slow down and don't use the flashy material. It looks bad anyway, when doing a spinning jump kick, to have your partner just push you while in the air. I've seen it lol.
Ive seen that in movies,if I saw that in person I think I would die of laughter.
Anywhos..you should think beyond flashy kicks and looking good.
Who cares if you get hit and bleed? who cares if your face is bruised?
Id rather look funky as hell and win rather than look good and lose.
-
Ive never seen a tkd practitioner in the ufc before, but ive seen a handful in k-1.
Main reason for not using high kicks(but ive seen a few high thai kicks executed before) is because then your clear open for the opponent to shoot in on you.Hit them or not, they'll get you on the ground.
-
You boxed and kickboxed in the past eh? Then why would you short change yourself get into point fighting? You are going to develop bad habits if you are not careful and those bad habits could hurt you in the kickboxing/boxing arena
Maybe he doesnt want to stick with extreme styles anymore.Getting bruises and aches everyday isnt fun.
But shoot,i think im at the point where those pains are like getting misquito bites.
Im like a super sayian....if you get hurt you only become stronger!

Only thing negative about BBT is that the training methods arent exactly to great.
