  1. I am looking more for a grappling art that I could eventually use in competition. I figure I will look more towards BJJ and arts of that nature. Plus I just have a bad feeling about this academy ever since I witnessed the so-called effects of my Sensei's so-called energy.

Its good your not staying at that dojo.It seems the sensei there believes hes got the powers like Pootie Tangs belt :brow:

If you cant find a BJJ school,ju jutsu or judo would be a great grappling style that has competition.

  2. Shouldnt the sports be enough work out?

I mean all those already could build up stamina, muscle mass, light footedness.

Only suggestion would be if you want to start lifting weights,go ahead...but your 14..dont reccomend that just yet.

  3. I'm with everyone else, just slow down and don't use the flashy material. It looks bad anyway, when doing a spinning jump kick, to have your partner just push you while in the air. I've seen it lol.

Ive seen that in movies,if I saw that in person I think I would die of laughter.

Anywhos..you should think beyond flashy kicks and looking good.

Who cares if you get hit and bleed? who cares if your face is bruised?

Id rather look funky as hell and win rather than look good and lose.

  4. You boxed and kickboxed in the past eh? Then why would you short change yourself get into point fighting? You are going to develop bad habits if you are not careful and those bad habits could hurt you in the kickboxing/boxing arena

Maybe he doesnt want to stick with extreme styles anymore.Getting bruises and aches everyday isnt fun.

But shoot,i think im at the point where those pains are like getting misquito bites.

Im like a super sayian....if you get hurt you only become stronger! :kaioken:
