what to do against a opponet wildly swinging?
Rock-fght replied to Rock-fght's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Taku-Shimazu Base ball bats arent slow. ive seen people swing those things very fast and you have to dodge it because it will demolish enything that gets in its way even that tonfa thingy your talking about (of course I dont know what the he,ll it is) but If its small enough to cary then it will be crushed by a base ball bat swing. and 8 people with base ball bats are somthing you should avoid because youd probobly get killed. -
That happend to me once and my gaurd happend to be down. but luckely he wasa like 5 feet away because he was stupid and flailed with his eyes closed. What i want to know is how would deal with that expesualy if there very angry (they wont let up from there flurry even if hit) and there flailing is pretty fast. what I would do is put my gaurd up and wait untill i get there pattern strait then put in some jabs (mine are fairly strong)and/or side step. or...I want to hear from you guys. and idea's

Yea, the super, heavy, hard bag makes me happy. And you first need to get your technique down first before you start adding power into your punch. I keep telling you this but..well you still suck (caugh) i meen you still need to learn. Your feet arent propelling you like they should your stance is wrong and you still bend over when you punch. Your base is where your power comes from. also you punch too slowly as if your lazy. if you train slow you will get slow, and you dont train enough. why are you asking people to add power and speed when you dont whant to put the time into it. that stuff comes over time -
ok, Im not in a muay thia class but I think I have the kick down. but then I dont.. Can you guys give me a low down on how to do it. I know its hard to explain it in words but maby if everybody gives some advice mabey I can peice it together Mauy thi kick; I start at a kickboxing stance (left foot forward) step diagonaly with the left foot, toes pointing to the side I swing myleg in a wide ark with the leg at a 90+degree angle at this point my shoulders are already turning Next, my shoulders have turned pasted pointing at my target then the kick is annitiated and my base foot is on the toes Should I use my hip flexors to put more whack in it? Should I do it like a soccer player like when they like bend over when they kick and stuff?
