  1. my last class before holidays we got a free night. We got to play dodgeball then we sparred a little bit.
  2. continue exercising to stretch out those muscles. When you do it, you should pivot your foot like they said, so you should be facing a different directionw hen your finished
  3. Hello everyone, my name is Evan and I'm a white belt. My style is Eugue Ryu, and my yellow belt test is coming up in the beginning of January.

  5. considering the fact I am a white belt, i have not had any real injuries due to sparring. The only thing I did to actually hurt myself was when practicing rollouts. Had to fly over 3 people + a trashcan (put sideways)I was more concerned getting over everyone than my technique, so I ended up landing on the side of my back and had a really sore back for a few days. No biggie

  7. I started Eugue Ryu karate about a year and a half ago, but quit to get my life in order, then i joined again. So i've been in it for about five or six months now, and my yellow belt test is coming up in January. My advice to anyone starting Karate: hang in there, after a while the sport becomes an addiction!

    Help Please

    I was taught to never look into there eyes. My sensei said if you ever get an opponent who stares in your eyes, it will be an easy fight. I was told that we should always focus on there waist, because the belt is the first thing that moves when they move. If you focus on there eyes, you won't really be able to be able to pay attention to there feet, but if your looking at the waist you can see there fists and there feet.
