  1. welcome to KF, pull up a chair and have fun. KG
  2. Anytime, good luck and keep us posted on how it goes. KG
  3. If it was me.......by the way, how old are ya?.....anywho, I would ask her out, and explain to her that you have a full schedule, but you would like to see her. If she cant see you occasionally and wait to see you more when you have time, then is she really worth it? I think if she really likes you, then she will see you occasionally till you have more time. But Ive been married for 9 years, and I've been out of the "dating" scene for awhile, so, I might actually know very little. Just my 2 cents KG
  4. well I dont have sensitive skin, but when I was in the military, there was a lot of guys that did. They were usually african american and they usually used......shucks, I cant remember the name, but it was some kinda cream that they wiped off with a popsicle stick kinda thing. That might work for you. Good Luck. KG
  5. Under 21?????? Man, now I feel old LOL KG
  6. Just wondering, how "old" are you? KG I'm comparatively older. People my age do a lot of dating, that's what I meant. But I'm also old enough to know not to give out my age on the internet. HAHAHA, thats a good one....a lady never tells right?
  7. Welcome to KF.....pull up a chair. KG
  8. Howdy.....Ich wohne gleich um die ecke....LOL, thats all the german that I remember from my HS german class. KG
  9. Just wondering, how "old" are you? KG
  10. IMHO, if I was you, I would just grin, and let it go in one ear and out the other. Let him act like he knows everything. Hell learn sooner or later that he knows next to nothing. If you did say something, you might run the risk of making your friend (his wife) mad, and it could jeapordize your friendship, and I know you dont wanna do that. I dont know if thats what you wanted to hear, or if it helped. But just be sure in your style and dojo and senseis and let him run his mouth all he wants. To me, that sounds like the equivalent of me saying my old high school football team is better than yours. Good luck. KG
  11. You hit the nail on the head.
  12. Practice, practice, practice, and concentrate on breathing, youll get the hang of it. KG
  13. Well, I agree partly. Marines recruiters do fill peoples heads with *, but all the recruiters do that too, and Marines are the best. KG
  14. Airborne is pretty hardcore too, but I dont wanna get into a who is best chest beating ritual. I will just say that I respect anyone that wishes to serve the country in the armed forces. Each branch has diffrent units that serve the country in diffrent ways. They all specialize in diffrent ways also. Marines are the first in, in any battle (I hated when my unit was on alpha increment). But there is no doubt that our country wouldnt be where we are without the honorable service of the airborne, rangers, seals, recon marines, etc. So, to every one that has ever served, is presently serving, or will serve in the future, I take my hat off to yall. Joining the military is not a popular choice right now, but a necessary one. Sorry, I was rambling, LOL. Anywho, that was my 2 cents. KG
  15. You dont have to call me sir, Im not one of your DIs LOL. Dont always trust your recruiter, get everything in writing. If you want me to give you a heads up on some of the PT you can do to prepare, then hit me up on PM.
  16. Well, Son, all I can tell you(I dont know if itll help you much, or if you even wanna hear it), but just be yourself. You are only 13 years old.....you have plenty of time in your life to find a girlfriend. Why rush it? Enjoy your youth while you have it (I wish I was only 13 again). But if you are yourself and not try to through game, you will find the right one sooner or later. KG
  17. BWAHAHAHAHA....I loved the shooting......there's nothing like throwing 500 rounds downrange through the M60, or chopping an oak tree down with the 50 cal. Not to mention that every other specialty in the military support the infantry. I got out in 96, and we had all kinds of cool toys to play with. I hear now that the infantry has portable computers that infantrymen wear, and you can IM other members of your squad, platoon, or company. Aint nothing like you and 11 other guys being miles out into the wilderness survivng on your own. Ok, now I'm sounding like Shane, LOL. Remeber IMGONNABEUSMC, infantry all the way. Semper Fi
  18. If I have to, Id prefer evasive manuvers before Id try to activly block. Like you said, you can get in close and get a clinch, most strikes from the clinch are going to be ineffective. I dont know how well it works on the streets sincef I havent been in a street fight in over 20 years (since I was in elementary school). Just my 2 cents. KG
  19. One way to strengthen your wrist is by doing pushups on your fist. Another way is to do wrist curls and reverse wrist curls with barbells. KG
  20. I was in the army before I joined the Marines. In my experience, the army was like a big fraternity, but in the Marines, its like they are your brothers. Im not putting the army down, but I enjoyed the Marines much better. IMGONNABEUSMC, do you know what you wanna do in the Marines? I was 0311 ande 0331. (Infantry and Machine Gunner). Good Luck. Let me give you a little advice. Make sure you are already in shape when you get to the Island. Keep me updated. Semper Fi.
  21. What are you trying to get into? Self-defense only? Sport only? Both?....It all depends on what you want to get out of MA. But what ever you choose, I wish you luck and let us know what you choose. KG
  22. Id rather rush in and take a couple licks to get into the clinch. If you protect your head while rushing, the blows shouldnt do much damage. Then when your in the clinch, they might be able to throw some ineffective blows, while you are steady nailing their midsection with knees. If you have to go backards, then you need to fake one way and then when they commit, quickly move the other so you can get to their back. From there, the world is open to you (RNC, hit/kick the spine, Takedowns, locks). But again, this all depends on if its sport or self-defense situations also. KG
  23. If you ask me....elbows would be the best. You can really get some good power with elbows without having the big windup. Knees would be a close second. Look at how Shamrock KO'd Kimo in UFC 48 with the knee. Both are good, but you have to know when the best time to use both are. Just my 2 cents. KG
  24. IMGONNABEUSMC = kinda off the topic, but are you gonna join the marines? Im a former marine myself. KG
