I don't know about books and videos not helping when it comes to takedowns. I mean if you just want takedowns and no moves that are really big combanations then books are the way to go instead of going out and finding someone to teach you how to do a basic takedown. Thats why I hate the first days of wrestling practice. Its when the idiots learn to do basic textbook takedowns that we are stritlly told to do over and over again until we do it picture perfect..which makes since, but gets over done sometimes.

Haha...its kind of funny that someone would mention about how you don't have to be fit to teach MA, because our middle school wrestling coach is, well, kind of not fit. Don't tell him that Josh said that though...

I must have the regular version of Fist of Fury or The Big Boss, because I don't remeber any nunchacku scene in it. Now Game of Death(Tower of Death) there is a nunchacku scene in it which may be helpful for nunchacku use. -jos2thehua

Cool..but I like Acics and depend on them to help me in each match I step into. Also when it comes to regular shoes I like Puma.(Kind of off the point though)

It would be pretty fun I guess to go naked just to see how people reacted when I came up there door and said trick or treat.

This is a forum where you can talk about your favorite type of wrestling or martial art shoes. Mine would have to be Acics for wrestling. I just always depend on them to keep me well balanced. If I can find a picture of the shoes I got I will post it.

I do know about freestlye wrestling now, but I don't think thats what its called. My brother told me it was folk, but still not so sure. Its ok if no one knows. I just wanted to see if anyone could comferm that it was called folk wrestling.

Yes that is very ture, because in MS and HS wrestling we can shoot in and grab the legs for a takedown. I think its called folk wrestling, but I'm not sure.

I think the it would be cool if a MMA event were held in a bowl type arena. It would be a lot funnier to watch them try to do moves on a unbalenced ground.
