  1. After I've been running 10 minutes or so without stopping, I've already gone a mile or so and can't go any longer. I haven't a clue how you're supposed to do it 30 minutes. Any lighter aerobic/cardio exercises for the other 20 minutes? o.o
  2. I was just thinking about something. Most people hate hitting hard stuff because it hurts their knuckles, but it's never botherd me. I can goof around and hit a wall realy hard, and it realy doesn't hurt. - even multiple times. Does it sound like the nerves in my knuckles are dead or something?
  3. I've read a few of the posts on stretching and a few on bodywieght exercises. I'm not putting two and two together very well, so I'm going to come right out and ask. Should I stretch before or after bodywieght exercises? Or both? This would be on a bodywieght and stretching everyday routine.
  4. I'll be starting mma training this summer, but I'm impatient. Could someone link me to some osrt of online document on the techniques and what not? I need to be able to read something to curb my impatience.
  5. o.O Kinda random and off topic. Anyway: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html Great information on programming and general Unix hackerdom. Should get you pointed in the right direction. As he does, I suggest Python as a starting language. https://www.ibiblio.org/obp has a great Python book called "Learning to think like a Computer Scientist with Python." https://www.programmingtutorials.com has a ton of tutorials, and https://www.programmingforums.org is a good place to ask questions. Hope it helps, edit:
  6. Yet another workout question from me. When I lifted wieghts with my dad last summer, I was told I had to rest a day or so in between the wieght lifting so that the muscles would grow. Is this the same with pushups, or is it okay to do them everyday? On a related note about wieght lifting. For pure strength more so then pure bulk, is fewer reps/more wieght or more reps/less wieght more effective?
  7. What type of workout will help keep shots to the lower ribs from taking your breath away and generally hurting so bad. And what about that spot just above the abs, but just below the chest that also makes you lose your breath?
  8. What advantage does cutting/sculpting your muscles have that simply bulking them up and burning body fat doesn't?
  9. THanks for the advice. I went ahead and emaild them some questions, and the guy answerd them all with good detail. Seemed nice. Deffinantly gonna go down to the gym and see what it's like as soon as I get the chance.
  10. Hello there. First post. I've always loved boxing, so when I started watching UFC fights, I naturally got realy interested in it. Same with some Thai boxing bouts they showed on mtv. (I hate admiting I watch that channel.) Thruogh a google seach, I found this ( http://www.advancedbkj.com/ ) gym close to where I live. I have a few questions. From what you can see from their website, does it look like a quality gym? Is actually training for mixed martial arts less effective then training specific ma's as you need them for mixed martial arts competition? Muay Thai interests me the most of the popular mma styles, because it seems like the toughest workout and training. Will this be any less difficult? I'm only 15, but that just seems all the more reason to get experience early on. Thanks, Josh
