hey im thinking of taking pray mantis kung fu but my friend keeps telling me that it has to many weaknesses and is easy to counter can anyone tell me its strong points and weaknesses?

My sifu taught me this last month u can throw a tonsou and a punch at the same time so u can block and attack at the same time

As a woman, let me just say: WHAT? Get over it; it's just your period. Sheesh. Anyway, I do kung fu. Love it to bits. Used to take karate, stopped, found a kung fu club at my college, fell in love with all the cool little tricks. Anyway, I don't feel that it's too male-oriented, if that's what the original poster was getting at. This stuff works well for me; I've no complaints. When i was younger i took karate because i wanted to become a power ranger and be one of the karate kids in the movies. Now i take wing chun because i luv the martial arts and i like weapons too. I like the power as well and want to be the best i can be. Competition is also y i went into martial arts because my friend is in goju ryu.

I know that Wing Chun was created my a woman. My friend says that his sensei(Kayo) of Chi-i-do goju ryu sed that wing chun was created from goju ryu is this true because i have found nothing that says goju ryu is the origins of wing chun.

In what martial arts to u learn iron palm iron fists and iron fingers? A classmate of mine in Wing Chun was talking about the iron fingers, fists,etc but i forgot to ask what martial art he took to learn them.
