  1. I think your underestimating the force required. On top of the basic force required to lift the weight there is the added shoulder and support muscles. That said if you keep at it you will be able to do it. To much work for me
  2. Definitely I would but do you mean a full one arm pullup or do you mean with on arm while holding the wrist?
  3. I agree with Rotten. I also think your underestimating your own strength. If you can naturally do 100lbs now then you are already lb for lb stronger then most. If you do a little math on those your trying to stay up with I bet your already ahead of them. Rotten really put things nicely. Be at your best not someone elses.
  4. I would say you could do it. Your going to have to beef up a bit to do it. Proper curling is going to require those shoulders to beef up to handle the load. I'm betting you have long arms which tends to make it more difficult. How much can you curl now?
  5. You sound in great shape. How much do you weigh/height?
  6. When I was young I could curl my body weight. I weighed 125 when I was lifting at the age of 18. My strength to weight ratio was very high. I can't even come close to that anymore. As far as being safe yes it's safe however it's usually impractical. I was very "strong" in my upper body, however I was not well rounded. No lowerbody development and very poor stretching ability. If you focus on one thing you can always increase it to crazy numbers but I would shoot for an all around fitness level.
  7. When I changed my eating habits back in June I started taking vitamins. Something I have never done. Everything has been going really well. I'm down 20 lbs and looking really good. I've been taking centrum multi vitamins. I have one weeks worth in the bottle. Does anyone have any recommendations on vitamins? What is everyone else taking?
  8. I just came across this. I would love to know what you have done. I am very inflexible. It is probably my biggest area to improve. Any info on your process would be great. Oh and how flexible where you when you started?
  9. Well I'm going to have mine tested next week. I was at 23% on June28th. Since then I've lost 20 lbs. I'm curious to see what it is now. I'm just trying to determine a proper ration for my size and activity.
  10. I have a hard time believing Bruce Lee was at 8%, every picture I have ever seen shows the man as cut and muscled as I thought was possible. I mean no disrespect Radol but at 14% are you really ripped or are just naturally thin?
  11. I'm not shooting to compete. I'm just shooting for an above average physical level. It sounds like just below 10 would put me at a very healthy place.

  13. Shorin Ryuu - Thanks alot for the response. That was basically what I was looking for. 7-10 should be just fine for me. When I reference the shortcomings of the "experts" I refer to those that believe we should all fit into groups and molds and eat a 2000 calorie diet of this or that. I have studied alot on nutrition in planning out how I intend to eat. It's exactly what your doing from what I sounds like. I don't ever intend to go back the way I was eating before. In just this short amount of time I feel much better and I eat far less then what I used to. On a side note my son was born 4 months premature and weight 1lb 1 oz. He is very small and skiny but is in perfect health. The "experts" want to put him on growth hormones because he is below the 5% range for his age. That type of mentality sickens me. Again thanks for the info.
