  1. My third day after getting to know the drills. Elbows and knees are fun.
  2. I'm going to buy me some gear for my muay thai training, but I don't know what companies make good equipment. I'd just like to know what brands you guys recommend. I want something affordable and reliable. I'm thinking of going with TKO's stuff since I like their style (I guess the black and white colors catch my eye ) but I'm not sure. I need gloves, a mouthpiece, and shin guards for now. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  3. I don't know much about him, but I actually met him for like 5 seconds when I was younger when he was in his convertable. I was passing out flyers and he told me who he was. He started blabbing about his school and stuff. I didn't care much since I was representing my cousin's TKD place. He's pretty well known by my friends for his cool shotokan karate commercials(that's about all they know ). He seems pretty cool. I was surprised when I saw that he had a muay thai branch. They're pretty good fighters, and when I saw a tournament on TV the croud was all over them. I know this won't help, but since you brought him up I just wanted to share this.
  4. Yeah....I just found out I broke a bone in my foot without noticing it(like 2 weeks ago d00dz). It's almost healed, but it started giving me some pain this week. I was amazed when the doctor told me I broke it! Probably happened when I started muay thai. Now I gotta rest. So I was just messing around with a broken bone.
  5. Just kick the bag! Rolling pins, kicking trees (My friend and I saw some idiots doing that. We just laughed), bottles....it's all rushing it. You'll pay later on for messing with the things that I listed above. They don't have the bags and pads for nothing.
  6. I've been doing Muay Thai for a little over a month now. No rank, but I guess you can consider me a white belt. I'm doing it for self defense, dicipline, and because I couldn't wait to start anymore!
  7. Or just buy some videos of fights in Thailand. Now THAT's Muay Thai!
  8. 2 weeks after the December fights the san shou team that defeated muay thai before was crushed 5:2 I think.
  9. Hello, as you can see I'm a newbie here. I finally found a place that teaches Muay Thai in my area! Too bad I have to wait till my birthday to start because you gotta be 16 or older to join. Hopefully it's not a watered down version of it. Any tips on how to prepare myself? Ask me if you want to see their website!
