Sharp pain in both the side and the back, and its only during stretching doesn't ache or anything after

i get REALLY bad pains in my knee when i stretch and i can't do the stretches properly, does anyone know why this is and what to do about it? also does anyone know any good websites with stretching exercises? thanks
