Ok this one is a bit nasty one of my freinds had been rather greedy all day and when it came to karate that night we where paracticing side kick when all you hear is alound farting noise and he runs towards the toilet door not to return for 40 mins until the caretaker brings him out looking rather pall .( theres one person who needs a new Gi )

In my area ( scotish borders) the main style is kick boxing but there is also karate and lau gar kung fu

This black sash lau gar kung fu prerson during your sparring match did he actualy ever sweep u or does he just think that becasue you are useing a wide 50/50 stance your easy to sweep ?

This post has made me think iam not agaisnt hiting firsts but if u where to wait for your aggressor to throw the first puch .with your skill u should be able to block it which in turn would put them off balance giveing u the opertunaity to counter attack with force. hummm ill have to think about this

i see no point in the breaking of boards with your head or any other part of your body. it has no real purpose rather than to cause injurie if u mess up. if u wish to show u can put mind over matter then do fire walking rather than attcking pavment slabs with your heads. just my opion thoe interested to here others.

no i dont think it is so much of a cult as a scam for instanace in the interveiw he say " i read about it in a magizine cant remeber the name of it" and the obvious sign of a scam SEND $10 .well like hell iam .so i sugest stay clear unless u have $10 to throw away

i just wish to say one thing and please correct me if iam wrong but katas are the works of masters over most of there lives .so it is natural that there aplications are diffrent for exmaple a master who spent his life perfecting his kata could well have drawen his insperation form anything relgious or combativ katas are as different as the pople who do them.

I have one thing to say if u removed all the stuff rb wonted out of the film the it wouldnt be the same.Think about it without the bravheart style rohan warrior scene's where is the emotion in the battle's.Whots a fantasy film without a dwarf que Gimli who also add's humour and is scotish the actor not the dwarf.without merry and pippen u wouldt have tree beard so i say that if u removed all that stuff then it wouldnt be such a good moive but i agree the fordo and sam is boaring as hell so i would have enjoyed watching them die in lava .

At my dojo we spend more time on kata's and techniques than on sparing.

some of u guys seem to have paid a fair bit to do your grading all a can remeber is it is £7.oo for kyu grading in my dojo

aefibird u think u go it bad i got mirrior's all round my dojo it is relly useful but can be very very annoying

equaninimus i recon u should import a britsh made blitz belt or ki-ai belt as they are long lasting good qualtiy belt's

i live in the scotish borders and my karate class only has 10 pupils three white belt's three yellow belts three orange belts a blue belt .all senior by the way so with such a small class we get a lot of one on one time with our senci but for grading we have to go to other towns wich annoyes me who big are all your classes
