  1. For me, Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee will be always the best in movies and in martial arts. Their ability and spirit in martial arts can't be compared with Van Damme, Chuck Norris or Steven Seagal. And I like the way that some of you say "oh.... Chuck Norris would kick his * or Van Damme would give him a punch in the head!!!!" Remember that we see all them in the movies... I don't know how they would react in a real life situation!!!!!
  2. For me... Jackie's movies are the best. The fight scenes are the best, even better than the Matrix (despite the Fx)... because they are like street fight... the bad guys aren't waiting in line to fight with Jackie... they all fight at the same time!!!! You don't see Van Damme or Chow Yun Fat fighting with six guys at the same time. And in Van Damme and other movies you only see high kicks.... high kicks... punch....high kicks....punch! With Jackie that doesn't happen... you see everything!
  3. Ok... I understand that Sano is a really big fan of Ernie's. And I remember seeing him in "Side Kicks"... I think that he could be a really good martial art artist but at the same time someone that has made a hip hop cd called Asia's Last Dragon!!!! Please!!!! What we wants in his life? To be a martial art artist or he only want's fame? He had a special role in Rush Hour 2 (Zing) I think that he learned something... but.... I don't know maybe he only wants to be a hip hop singer!!! By the way... Jackie Chan doesn't use stunts. Maybe now he can use for some scenes but with 50 years and a life breaking his head, arms and legs!!!
  4. I'm sorry Sano, but what do you know about Jackie Chan? Because Jackie is famous for his flexibility and for your knowledge he has 50 years old! Of course he cannot have the same flexibility until the end of his days!!!! When he stops acting he will be a great stunt and martial arts choreography director and a great help to future fighters that want to do good martial art films. The problem of some martial art artist is not only their quality but also the quality of who is behind the scenes!!! And Jackie Chan with more than 35 years in martial arts is one of the best as an artist and director. Raminhos (Portugal)
  5. Lets start a new discussion!!! Who is better in the martial arts movies? To me there are two man that will be always the best: Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Despite the fact that Jackie Chan does comedy movies he is the best since Bruce Lee. And he doesn't use stunts. In fact, most of the martial art artist that came from the Chinese Opera School are among the best. Remember Jackie Chan's friends Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao. One of the most important aspects on his movies is the fact that the fights look like street fight. We fights with everyone at the same time, gets hurt and even sometimes we can't see what's happening, with all that mess!!! Other good aspect is the fact that the fight scenes choreography are made by him or by other chinese. In fact the films with Jet Li and other guys are getting better because they are getting more similiar with Jackie Chan movies, on the fighting scenes. Raminhos (Portugal)
  6. It´s always the same problem when we talk about martial arts and full contact sport fighting- which one is better. But I think that all martial arts/combat sports have problems.... they depend from the quality of the fighter. A bad kung fu fighter probably would lose against a full contact fighter. Even when the fighters are equal on their abilities a fight depends on other factors like intelligence! All martial arts have their good and bad points Raminhos (Portugal)
