Cool. I wonder if she will be a gamer or a reader? What kind did she get? I was looking at the New Dark Tower book at the store today $24.95, fictionwise has it for 19 something.

The electronic critter in my avatar is my SJ33. A 16mb pda will hold a lot of books. battousai16 Think of something like adobe reader or ms reader but on a portable device.

Your could write a really great article about your trip and it would most definately be appropriate.

This is an example of one of the reasons a training book is so very helpful. If you keep a training book it is so useful to develope your own system of describing your katas and techniques for your own records. That helps you in refreshing your memory later whether you need to review something from lack of practicing or moving.

Congratulations. The higher ranks not getting promoted reflect that the standards for passing get higher as the rank increases. It also would possibly reflect that test took place not only during the specified time for test but the whole 3 day camp long.

I always have a problem with my hands being so sweaty that the tonfa do not flip in and out and spin well.

When you try pants on you make sure you can kick in them before you actually buy them. If you can't kick back on the rack they go. And yes I caught myself doing that the last pants I bought.

Somehow I can just see it happening.

So I guess it is time to say welcome. My original training was in Matsubayashi Shorin ryu. Then I went through Hayashi Hai Shito ryu then Shotokan. My style swithches were due to transportation availability or lack thereof.

I do remember some of the severe storms that we I saw while I was in Korea. I am sure there are more areas now with better draining systems than there was in 1976. It is an incredibly long flight to get there because you cross the international date line. But when you come back it is possible to hit the US before you left because of the dateline.

One thing you may not be aware of is that one time isshin ryu was really big with the marines. So if you are stationed anywhere with a marine detatchment that might very well raise your chances of finding an isshinryu group. It will be some very hard core training though.

Well I can say in Shotokan I have yet to train with a group who wanted audible breathing during kata. Some people do have an audible breath sound though due to sinus difficulties or large adenoids and other throat tissues. Even during hangetsu we are not encouraged to breath loudly. I have not seen loud breathing encouraged in shito ryu or shorin ryu either.

First is the issue of how does the management view the situation. It is the duty of the manager or the assistant manager on duty to deal with the problem not someone who might be mopping the floor. As I see it taking what may be in the eyes of the company inappropriate actions could very like result in the loss of a job at the very least.

As you work in cat stance more things will improve. Try doing some everyday things around the house in cat stance. Walk down your hallway in cat stance. If someone laughs show them how easy it is to kick out of cat stance. Transition from side to side in cat stance while you brush your teeth.

OK,, has anyone had this experience??

We had a problem with a young man with an extreme proliferation of flatus. Things improved when everyone got totally sick of it and just ignored it. -
One way to look at a jo is to see it as a cane. Before canes were made with crooks in the handle and rubber tips on the end.
