fighting a Tall and agile kciker
Rising Soldier replied to superfighter's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
I Have the same type of person in my class how great is that!!! My key is to just box them close-in fighting.. they won't be able to kick since they need reach .. if you don't kniw how to box.. i consider you hall *.. j/k just try to sweep but if there higher belt and your lower that ight not help.. just try to keep it close so that he is forced to eliminate his kicks -
I have a question about sparring... I get extreamly agravated when my freind who's a yellow belt like me get's his hits off pretty well.... No he's not big or even flexible for that matter.. it just felt like he was getting in more than i was.. Im not a sore loser... I gave him the props.... Yet i got mad at myself for not beign able to do what i was supposed to.. i felt like i was nailed to the floor and couldn't get anything in... i sparred hm like 3 times and it was the same all the way.. i kept saying to myself.. "This time im gonna do it" it didn't work.... he is much older than me.. so I guess he got more fighting expreience.. yet the final time up I did a spinning hook kick which was nicely set but by mistake striked his jaw.... Sensei thought it was a nice move and awarded me w/ the point, ( even though it was only to the body that we were going for) yet i knew if I wouldve passed my target.. i couldve knocked him out, which wasnt my intention.. yet after the fight he was like oh i don't feel that kick to the jaw... while rubbing his jaw.. it's nothing I hate the fact that Ive been there longer than him..... and am more experienced but for some reason... when it comes to sparring... he got a little edge on me...i just don't get it.. what am i doing wrong? This gets me very mad.... I got a tournament coming up... and I just want to get my sparring straight.. although i wont be fighting people his age.. maybe better than him.. Please give me some tips on how to come in strong That is all I think lol

A girl problem :-/
Rising Soldier replied to TheDevilAside's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
If she's h0t, with a body like Jlo I say... Kick it to her ... i mean who wouldn't want a girl like her... If your a 15 yr old shy kid who's scared of gurls .. Run away and go play with your dog... If your like me.. (Im 15 too) she looks goods, and has a tendency to flurt with you... hehe she could show me her moves after i sparred w/ her Then again .. don't get into trouble ... use protection LOL Anyways... if she ugly... just leave her alone... no bad remakrs.. just don't pay attention to her.. You seem to be giving her attention maybe she's coming to you? -
Racism at the dojo
Rising Soldier replied to Phantasmatic's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
My school is multicultural.. so no racism wouldn't play it's part... My sensei wouldn't allow it... and would halt it immediaetly -

Beginner Styles?
Rising Soldier replied to Reizende's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
THere's No one art that's easy, everthing comes w /practice... so don't favor one over the other because once you master it, the training you learned will count the most.. Shouldn't they have beggners classes anyways in many dojo's? -
When it comes to grappling...I rather grapple w/ a girl than any guy bya far shot... But why worry about your spouse's thoughts, as mentioned before many times bring her along so that she can see it's harmlesss fun... OR just tell your sensei to partner you up w/ a male... Anyways that's why I thought i'll be marry when i'm young, im only 15 now, but don't expect me to get marry before my 30's... Just want to have a little fun.... It would be funny to see you grabs a girl's breast by mistake.... Im j/king... Women are a lot toughe rthan men.. cause thye can move around eaiser... Tell your wife to chilll , isn't a marriage based on trust?

Im 15 and i started over a year ago.. No it's not too late to start martial arts.. There's some older adults who are over 60 who are advanced purple belts... So age is all in the mind.... See you soon in a tournament -

Never heard of it, many Katas nowadays go by many diffrent names... so you might want to check over the name of that Kata or find the actual name of it.. By the way what is your type of martial arts?
