  1. achilles lock, its similar to an ankle lock, but it pinches the nerves in the calf, OUCHHHH!
  2. its ABOUT, 2 years for blue, 3-4 years for purple, 5-6 for brown and above that for black
  3. it takes time and alot of sparring experience to even be able to try and attemp, you need to be proficient in doing armbars from mount, before you can even think about trying kneebars. the reason im saying this is because the end result is the same as an armbar, just imagine the knee is the elbow. im not discouraging you, by all means try, this is just coming from a jj blue belt.
  4. bjj.org has a nice archive, im sure you could find what ur looking for there
  5. triangle using arms, exequial americana straight arm bar sit on his chset and lift his head up, than set up your triangle using your legs, than roll over and he falls right into it
  6. IM MAKING MY OWN DUMMY! because they're so expensive, so i bought some padding and some pvc(plastic) pipes and some ducttape, there are instructions all over the net. This is what i chose to do to train my jiujitsu skills
  7. stfu you goshinman, go try fighting a judo guy without a guy, he will be like a fish out of water , and bjj has had almost no sucess because of marketing what a bad excuse, it has sucess because its good, karate got popularity in the 80's cuz of marketing and so did ninpo in the 90's, but bjj, got popularity cuz he beat the crap out of everyone it faced. take ur argument elsewhere to other traditionalists who compromise their loses with ridiculous excuses.
  8. WAGGNEY FABIANO, HES IN SCARBOROUGH, HES A WORLD CLASS , BJJ BLACKBELT, FIGHTING FROM NOVA UNIAO, his academy is called karma martial arts
  9. cuz theyre losers and they can practice their forms in the mirror all they want, but when it comes to fighting ,they better have their swords with them or their useless. and bjj has added wrestling takedowns, sweeps, sambo leglocks and they have also modified some judo throws, cuz they're terrible as they are they need to be modified to work without the gi.
  10. ok sure, i have an 8th kyu rank in ninjutsu and i have also trained in traditional jujutsu along with the ninjutsu, they are almost identical, in comparison of wristlocks, throws, takedowns and striking, the weapons fighting might be a bit different
  11. WRONG, jujutsu and ninjutsu are almost exactly the same,
  12. hey tibby SHUT THE * UP, IM A BLUE BELT IN BJJ and a good muay thai and i've beat the * out of not only tjj guys , but also kajukenbo, karate, kung fu , HOW DARE U CALL BJJ A SPIN OFF ART, ILL * KICK UR * IF I SAW U U FAG
  13. 1-you can strike from dominant positions 2- you can end it either with a choke or joint lock and personally i use grappling to hurt opponents, because thats what martial arts were designed to do
  14. in no particular order, 1-single leg 2-double leg 3-hip throw 4-firemans carry 5-osoto gari
  15. THE TRIANGLE CHOKE (USING YOUR ARMS), this a rear naked choke with an arm inside(your opponents arm). you can do this choke from almost every position. you usually do it from standing or across side, its a sick move. bjj has all the answers( just to piss you all off)
  16. i don't think so, but you also have to realise that grappling is a necessary part of your training. I was purely a striker before i started bjj and training in grappling has shown me the necessity of cross training.
  17. well i have been studying bjj for a year now and its more of a progressive thing. like you just need to show that you can keep up with the people of the rank above you and than your given their rank. i was getting as good as the blue belts so they gave me a blue belt.
  18. im with martial artist on this one, but maybe u can't move out of the way, than i would probably cling and blast him with some punches of my own, and maybe a hip throw
  19. well if your all alone i would buy some gloves cuz there has to be someone around that knows how to box, that should round out your training. obviously it is not enough, but its a start and stay away from mcdojo;s!
