Great music, your right, three60 -
I am getting ready to go watch a class on WT Kung fu. From the pic and sites I have visited the classes seem informal compared to TKD. Is this typical of Kung Fu classes? Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

To add to this dilemma/question... Does kicking with the lead foot seem to surprise opponents? Change their stratagy? :???:

Wellllll, for this situation would just forget bout it and go on with life. I have gotten poked a few times when I was fencing tho, totally on accident...ouchhhhh -
We got rid of our waterbed when we used to have these little wet spots all the time...cause...daughter used to lose her earrings there and guess what...

All I can say to that last question Kickchick is.... YEEE HAWWWW
-
Well I will lose my humility and say I do. This is not the correct section but i made Green w/blue stripe to start the new year off with. ....in TKD

I agree that BB is only the beginning. Could this be part of the reasoning behind the saying...once a martial artist always a martial artist. This is also the level at which people start exploring other Arts.

Ya'll are just toooo funny gotta print these and take them to class tonite and I think to work at the nursing home..lol..you see there we can fart all we want to, we just stand next to a resident and no one knows any different

Very informative Kickchick, thanks. I have always just associated cramps with lack of potassiam and fluids. Love the nose solution...gonna have to turn my back in class one nite and try that
-
Would the key word here be....moderation and from kickchick "technique and be aware of your limits"

Almost 40 here and only started bout 6 months ago, but already hooked. Tried to get my son(15) in on the action but he don't like all the practicing.

What's the difference between a man with a cold and a boxer? One blows his nose, and the other knows his blows

My humble opinion... I agree with Sai. You did well on the strength..muscles need 24 - 48 hours to repair themselves. What if you only concentrated on 2 things a day and took sunday off totally? Please be assured tho that I am in no way an expert in this area, just a fellow(

lol @ muay...or you could wait till its out for rent....but who wants to wait that long The opinions i am hearing from friends is it's fantastic...great special effects.

I have never called out bout the martial arts but, I have had dreams, (like u sai, involving forms) but i am not practicing them...I am trying to figure out how to use the combos and moves in a sparring match.

tekken, Your 1st concern is the typical McDojang unfortunately. Do not let this put you off your training tho, there are alternatives....find another school if you are not happy! As far as pushups....we have had to do them, but the only person EVER to make us was the grandmaster and then it was only 10. I think our worst "punishment" is doing something over and over, like during kicking, turning, and other drills. We test quarterly at our school(4 times a year) and by invitation of the instructor only. He will not ask you to test if he feels you are not ready and we have like pre tests to ensure this. Our testing is done by the owner of the school and the grand master comes from Corpus Christi. I dont think anyone would want to embarrass themself infront of them and family and friends. You can always turn down a testing opportunity if you dont feel ready! It takes the average person 3-3.5 years to reach BB if you test every time. Good Luck in your training quests

I think this goes along with some posts in another section. Yes, our kicks are powerful and fast(one reason i prefer TKD over other arts)...but not all fights end up in the air. Need to have ground and other techniques...therefore the well rounded and crosstrained fighter.

I think mine will be to just keep trying to improve and enjoy life....my training, work, and family.

The way I remember is right over left, left over right. Your fellow students will be more than happy to help you I am sure, as jack said.
