Goju Ryu...There's another way to find out which might be a little quicker, just click on their profile and at the bottom of the page there is a "Style(s)" Section revealing the style(s) they practice.

These are great suggestions from all of you. Say you didn't have a partner when training, at home let's say, would Shadow Boxing work? Of course you could never block one of your own strikes lol But would this kind of quicken your reflexes?

Ha! Wicked battousai16 lol Well, to share another funny/crazy story about the Turtles, do you remember those plastic imitation weapons you could buy from the Turtle merchandise? My friend and I once dropped every single one in the sewer thinking the turtles would be glad to have an extra set for fighting Shredder with..Ah, we we're Turtle crazy back then lol

I have to agree with G95champ on this one. Yet it is never too old to start. We have a Sensei who was 58 when he began karate in our class. A little old but if you feel you want to take up a Martial Arts style, I say Go For It! Btw, Welcome to the site

Honestly, the main reason I started was because I thought if I could get good enough I could become the 5th member of the Ninja Turtles. As the years kept going my childhood dream of being a Ninja Turtle was beaten to a pulp when I realized they weren't real BUT I decided that even though there was no hope for me and the Turtles I knew Martial Arts was something I wanted to continue, so it just stuck with me. Martial Arts is now a big part of my life and always will be...Sad story I know, but I was a kid with a dream Long live the Turtles!!

Unfortunatly for an adult class I think that's a little young aswell. Although if the child has the mentality and maybe the physic to be accepted then, hey! Go for it! The youngest in my class was a 13 year old. Young in my opinion, he wasn't ready.

Pretty good riff monkeygirl, and DokterVet you play very well. Do you record alot? I play aswell, I've been rippin' for about 8 years, more into the heavier, weirder stuff like Ozzy..Zakk Wylde is a wicked guitarist!! lol Anyway, glad to see more guitarist on this site Keep up the awesome work guys. Quick question, what kind of guitar(s) do you guys own? Acoustic/electric/bass..ect

I chose the Sai. I also love training with the Bo equally, both awesome weapons.

30$ a month. 2 hour (adult) classes twice a week, if you wish you can also attend the class right before the adults class and you can also teach the kids and add in some training time there, meaning you train more than 10 hours a week in the dojo for 30$ If you want.

Bunkai in my dojo is very important. They really emphasize Kata and often show us the application and meaning of each strike/block/stance. This way the student knows why they are executing the move and this way could use it when needed or even identify them anywhere. Others above this post have described why it is important a little better than I lol But yea, Bunkai is very important in my opinion.

Not to sound dumb or anything but is predetermined kumite like 2 step sparring? I imgine so lol It sounds the same, one person throws an attack the other throws the block...It's done slowly at first then speeds up but it not where you throw anything at anytime. Sorry dumb question lol Thanks for the site though, it was interesting to read some of the things in there.

Way of the Wolverine...If you don't really consider that a "true" kata then I'd have to choose Shisochin...

Hah, I won't don't worry. It'll still be there when you go look for it
