http://espn.go.com/olympics/story/_/id/13128825/baseball-softball-8-sports-proposed-2020-games Karate and wushu are among 8 sports that will be considered for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The federations for all 8 will make a presentation in Tokyo in August, and organizers will make recommendations to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) by the end of September. The IOC will decide which sports will be added to the slate. A number of other sports applied but did not make this cut, including sumo wrestling.

Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/1080P-Digital-Video-Camera-Camcorder/dp/B00NL5WX2O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434413545&sr=8-1&keywords=2.7%27%27+TFT+LCD+Full+HD+16+MP+1080P+Digital+Video+Camera+Camcorder+DV+16x+Zoom (disclosure: KarateForums.com receives a portion of sales generated through Amazon links posted, like this one). I guess, for the price, you could buy it and see. But I tend to stick to name brands with solid review histories.

Other martial arts forums/sites
Patrick replied to gronis's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I'm glad that you specified the attitude being among specific groups and not MMA folks in general because, as you know, we have numerous MMA and BJJ people who are wonderful martial artists, good people and great contributors here. One of the things I am most proud of is our diversity and ability to come together respectfully to discuss, agree and disagree over the martial arts. Patrick -
Tabletop gaming covers a lot of stuff. Board games, card games, dice games and more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabletop_game

Congrats on passing your first test. Patrick -
It's out now: If the movie had a rating, it would be R, so just be forewarned. No nudity or anything like that, but fighting, blood and some language. If you watched the trailer, I would describe it as: EVERYTHING YOU EXPECTED. Haha. Patrick

I was pretty good on Black Ops II, but I haven't played online multiplayer since then. I actually own both Batman: Arkham Asylum (through PS Plus) and Batman: Arkham Origins (bundled with my PS3). For the PS4, you actually have to pay. It's $49.99 a year. But you get more than online access, you get free games every month that you can keep as long as you have an active subscription. I don't mind it. If I had more money, I'd definitely buy an Xbox, too, just so I could play with friends who have it. My original motivation for buying a PlayStation was because it was what my brother had, so we could play when he went away to college.

No equipment training for lower body
Patrick replied to Spartacus Maximus's topic in Health and Fitness
Check out these workouts: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos?keywords=&minlength=0&maxlength=0&minburn=0&maxburn=0&focus[]=3&equipment[]=26 I love Fitness Blender. I'm currently on week 6 of an 8 week fat burning routine with them. All of their workouts for free, but you can pay a small amount for a routine built using their exercises. Most of their exercises use only dumb bells, so they are really convenient. I'm definitely seeing the results. The link I posted above uses their great search feature where you can select the area of the body you want, what equipment you have (including no equipment). When you open it, you can select things like minimum/maximum minutes, calorie burn and the difficulty level. It's an amazing resource! Patrick -
Glad that you found us, Doomed. Thanks for the great introduction and welcome.

We completed Risk: Metal Gear Solid last night. My youngest brother won.

Great idea, mazzybear. On PSN, I'm iFroggyPatrick. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is what I generally play these days when I can (haven't even tried online multiplayer, which is odd, just play zombies and Exo-Survival). I also download all of the PS Plus free games. I don't own any other games outside of COD: Ghosts, which I kind of sad.

Funny how a thread's life can extend. Thanks for sharing that and for being a long term member, IcemanSK. You're appreciated. Patrick -

Great thread, CredoTe. Enjoying the discussion, thus far. After a long time of not playing any tabletop games, a couple of years ago, my family and I (especially me and my brothers), really got back into it. Mainly motivated by my brother Sean. I actually registered tabletopforums.com and boardgameforums.com a while back. Haha. Yesterday, we played The Offensive Band Name Generator for the first time and began a game of Risk: Metal Gear Solid going right now. I say began because it's currently on a table a few feet away from me. It was our first game of Risk ever and we had to sift through the rules for quite a while. It's actually simpler than the rules make it sound, though. At least I think so. Haha. We'll pick it up again soon and finish that game. Some of the games I enjoy, from recent memory: King of New York, Flash Point: Fire Rescue, The Red Dragon Inn, Munchkin, The Logo Board game, Catchphrase (does that count?), Loaded Questions and Schmovie. I also own several other games, including Pandemic and 7 Wonders, but have only played Pandemic once. The rules of 7 Wonders just sort of washed over me.
