  2. Hello, KarateForums.com recognizes one member every month as the Member of the Month for their positive contributions to this community. The September 2009 selection is... isshinryu5toforever. Congratulations!
  3. I actually don't know about that test and it's applicability to actual driving. The object of driving isn't so much to count numbers as it is to be aware of your surroundings. I don't really count knowing what people are wearing and assigning them points based on their color as being aware - actually, I think it might be the opposite. If you spent all day counting people or focusing on what they were wearing and simply starring straight ahead, you'd miss what was going to to your left, right and behind you, which is just as important. 5. http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=4911 Pretty fun article. What's your favorite? Via Digg.
  6. Great advice, everyone. WHEN?! Just kidding. Great tip, I really agree. The foundation of the community is the martial arts, but that doesn't mean we can't share other things in our lives or other interests that we have. Thanks, Patrick
  7. Welcome to KF, beagstkd! Happy to have you. We appreciate the kind words about the community! Patrick
  8. Apparently, it's only for the PS3 owners. http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/209888/batman-arkham-asylum-play-as-joker-in-ps3-version-only/
  9. More video from the game: http://www.gamesradar.com/f/arkham-asylum-in-90-seconds/a-2009082612217166068 Via Digg.
  10. This is a very interesting topic, Dobbersky. Thank you for creating it. I agree with Bob, who had some good thoughts. This is natural and it happens to everyone. No matter what you're writing. If you're writing forum posts, articles, books, term papers, whatever... everyone hits a block. I would say to just do what you enjoy - if you enjoy reading posts, just read. Never feel like you have to post. If you see a post you like, maybe tell that person you like it and see if you have a relatable experience or something to share that relates to their already great post. But, it all flows naturally. We appreciate your contributions to the community. Patrick
  11. My signature is primarily dedicated to pointing people to various aspects of KarateForums.com. This includes links to our awards program, articles section, member of the month honorees and our guidelines. It's my hope that this helps more people to find these pages and to look at them, which will help them to derive greater enjoyment from the site (again, my hope )). The second line is a link to our contact page encouraging anyone to contact me if they have any question, site related issues, etc. Patrick
  12. That's unfortunate. If you don't manage your money, it'll go away. By all means enjoy it, but watch it. Some of the richest people in the world have lived in the most normal looking homes or driven basic cars for long stretches of their life.
  13. http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/transportation/4328859.html Anyone do much travel by train? Via Digg.
  14. You could always start a rugby thread, Danielle! I'm sure we have some rugby fans here. As far as the NFL season...I'm cautiously optimistic about the Dolphins. We had a 1 win season just the year before last, so that kind of shell shocks you.
  15. Those are cool, too, TalkMartialArts. Thanks.
