  1. The absolute best way to lose weight without starving yourself or eating badly is to cut down on dairy, breads, and desserts.
  2. I don't think Chow Yun Fat is a serious martial artist; he's just a good actor with a good choreographer. So as for his style, I'd say that it's "action movie style". I wouldn't give the movie itself a very high rating. But then, I'm picky when it comes to films. I'd probably give it about 4/10.
  3. All things being equal, including age, I would vote for Bruce; he was phenomenal. Jackie is the best at what he does (action choreography) and at one time he was possibly one of the very best tournament fighters too, but Bruce was unique.
  4. Uh, no, he's not a European MA star. Jason Statham has been in some other British movies, namely Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He's an ex-Olympic diver turned actor. You liked that film?
  5. Or should that be "Hi-ya"? I just discovered this place and it looks to be full of friendly, knowlegable people. A bit about me: I'm very interested in Martial Arts though I haven't really trained in some time, due to illness. I've looked into Jeet Kune Do (who hasn't?), Hapkido, Ninjitsu, Shaolin Chin Na (I know, I know, it's not really a style in itself), Southern Praying Mantis Tong Long, Jiujustsu. I've done some training with knives, Bo staves, and Sai. Because of my health, I've researched into the topics of health, nutrition and supplements quite a bit. I'm an Australian living in Canada, and I'm cold. Good to meet you all.
  6. I guess you need to know which side of the line you stand on between self-defense and revenge. You did everything you needed to do in order to defend yourself; if you wanna kick him because he made you upset that's a different matter.
  7. Talking my way through. As for other stuff, my super-dooper non-telegraphed jab is pretty snazzy.
  8. Actually, I wasn't specifically referring to BJJ, but rather to hitting the deck when you still have another opponent up and about.
  9. Knowing ground fighting skills may be invaluable, but going to the ground voluntarily isn't usually a good idea. In fact, if you are fighting two people, it's suicidal.
  10. Oh, dozens, at least. Or did you mean, fight and win?
