  1. The point of the steps, for me, is not so much the number but to keep me active. I track it on my phone so if I am active without carrying my phone, like during martial arts training, I do not get credit for the steps. It is just another reminder to stay active and that even walking is good for your health.
  2. What are some songs that get you moving and fired up before and/or during your workout?
  3. What about this year? Does anyone in your family train? Do you buy them a sword or anything?
  4. Morgan Barron of the Jets celebrated his 25th birthday by scoring the game winning goal against the Blackhawks over the weekend. Minnesota is undefeated under their new head coach. The Oilers look to be on the rebound and the Ducks are falling apart. The Rangers might be the best team in the NHL right now as they are Capitals had found ways to win despite not playing well and now they are losing, lost 6-0 to Arizona yesterday. Zona is on a five-game winning streak with all five wins being against the last five Stanely Cup winners! Wild stat there. Alex Ovechkin has been struggling to score this season, no goals in seven games and only five on the year, putting him on pace for 20 goals this season. He was on pace to break Wayne's goals record next season but if his pace does not speed up it won't be until the following year, when he is 40. What looked like an inevitable event when the season started now has some question marks of Alex will get there. I think he will, but it will take longer than expected.
  5. I don't know anything about it but the music sounded pretty good!
  6. There is a fun one in Las Vegas called Pinball Hall of Fame that has a lot of the old school games such as Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons. Of course, it also has a lot of pinball machines. Other than that I have not visited an arcade that stuck out to me since I was a kid.
  7. They are still one of the top teams in the league and have the best player in the NFL right now. After hosting the AFCCG for the last five years in a row maybe they have to win one on the road this year, either way they still have as good a chance as anyone. Here is how tough it is to win in the NFL, there are only four players, all quarterbacks, who have won at least two Super Bowl rings and at least two NFL MVP awards. Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Patrick Mahomes. That's it. Meanwhile there have been 12 people that have walked on the moon. That means, mathematically, that you are three times more likely to walk on the freaking moon than win two Super Bowls and two NFL MVP's. That is how tough it is to stay on top in the NFL!
  8. The Patriots were shut out again today, this time against the lowly Chargers. Their offense might be the worst I have ever seen in over 30 years of watching the NFL. I am not kidding. It is that bad.
  9. Minnesota's new coach gets a win in his debut, Wild beat the Blues 3-1. There was a crazy game on Monday between Florida and Ottawa. There were fights and scrums and finally in the third period the ref ejected every player on the ice after a brawl broke out. I don't think I have ever seen a game where every player on the ice was ejected. No surprise that the Tkachuk brothers would be in the middle of chaos. Anyway, crazy game. Panthers won it 5-0.
  10. Panthers have fired head coach Frank Reich after only 11 games. Panthers are 1-10, worst record in the league, firing Reich before the end of his first season. Panthers fired their head coach in the middle of the 2022 season also. Seems these coaching firings are coming earlier and earlier. Twenty years ago it was very rare that a coach was fired mid-season but we are seeing it every year now, Reich is already the second coach fired this season.
  11. Could be an interesting game tonight, the Oilers were terrible to start but have been better of late and McDavid is looking healthy again. A poor defensive team like Edmonton might be exactly what Vegas needs to break out of this offensive slump.
  12. After a dreadful start the Minnesota Wild have fired their head coach Dean Evason. Minnesota is on a seven-game losing streak and has struggled defensively. The Wild are currently 5-10-4 with the third lowest point total in the NHL. Only Chicago and San Jose are worse. Former Nashville coach John Hynes is in for Evason. Hynes first chance to get a win with Minnesota will be Tuesday night when the Wild host the Blues.
  13. I agree, I did not think the Pats would be this bad, either. It will be interesting to see if this is the end of the line for Billicheck, or if the Pats give him as much leash as he's willing to take.Hard to believe it could get this bad, the team has regressed the last two years, and it is embarrassing now. In 2020 they fell off but that was not a surprise, then they had a better year in 21, making the playoffs with a rookie Mac Jones. However, they have gotten worse and worse since then, and so has the QB. Just three weeks ago I was still a defender of Jones, but not anymore. He makes too many bad throws at key moments in the game leading to interceptions, often when the team is in the red zone. Jones needs to be out of there, maybe he can go somewhere else and save his career, but it is clear the Patriots and Jones need to break up. One rumor is that Belichick will resign at the end of the season instead of being fired. Also that the LA Chargers, currently 4-7 and last place, will fire their head coach and the Chargers will try to get Belichick. Los Angeles seems like an odd place for Bill, not only is he anti much of what LA is about he has always been a northern and east coast coach. On top of that Bill will be 72 next season. Is a 72-year-old coach going to move to the opposite side of the country to start over with a new franchise? Seems unlikely, though strange things have happened over the years such as Favre to the Vikings. Like I said that is just a rumor and might have zero truth to it. By the way, the Patriots host the Chargers on Sunday.
  14. Time to revisit the question of whether or not Bill Belichick returns to the Patriots next season. Patriots are for sure the worst team in the AFC and could be the worst team in the NFL after that 10-7 loss to the Giants. I did not expect much from them this year, picked them last in the division, but no way did I think it would be this bad. Only Carolina has a worse record at 1-10.
  15. hi
  16. How disappointing.
  17. Saw a saying the other day that read "the purpose of life is living a life of purpose." I am not saying I agree or disagree, just passing it along.
  18. Hope everyone had a good time and safe travels, if applicable.
  19. Definitely feeling better, I quit spitting up the phlegm a few days ago and have been back at the gym for light workouts without any trouble.
  20. Well well. My mortal enemy. Who will witness this victory. Here's the deal: if you are trained in BJJ, for example, it is well know you will beat someone who isn't, regardless of any other factors, 99.99 percent of the time. Huh?
  21. Is the meaning of life to find happiness?
  22. Is it my imagination or are we seeing more fights in the early part of this season than we have seen in many years?
  23. With the comeback win against the Bears on Sunday the Lions improve to 8-2, the last time they won eight of their first ten games was in 1962!
  24. I love football this time of year, especially the Thanksgiving games. Growing up I looked forward to watching the Barry Sanders and the Lions every Thanksgiving and even though the Lions have lost a lot of turkey day games over the years I still look forward to seeing play just like I did when I was a kid. I hope they beat Green Bay on Thursday, which means the Lions could enter December in first place, something they have not done since 2014. Lions have not won a division title in 30 years, 1993, and have a chance to break that this season. They also have not won a playoff game since January of 1992, which is the only playoff win they have in the entire Super Bowl era. Lions are the only team in the league that have never been to the Super Bowl that also has been a franchise every single year the Super Bowl was played. The other three teams that have never been there are Jacksonville, Houston, and Cleveland. Jacksonville was not a team until the mid 1990s, and Houston (Texans) started playing in 2002 (Oilers never made it either). Cleveland moved to Baltimore for a few years and did not have a team before getting their team back in 1999. While about 1/3 of the current teams have never won the Super Bowl, those are the four that have not made it. Anyway, Go Lions!
  25. Do you remember the Ham Radio episode? That's the one where they do radio theater. It's the episode that made me laugh the hardest. I fully related to Niles losing it. LOL.
