  1. I agree, Iron Maiden are of of the few bands that sound BETTER live. Does anyone remember when they walked off Top of the pops in the 80's after they were asked to mime?
  2. I'm also a great fan or Iron Maiden. I do think that their better stuff was their best, or maybe I'm just getting old! I did like it when Blaze Bailey fronted them for a while as I was (and still am) a fan of Blaze's old band `Wolfsbane'
  3. Motorcycles are my number 1 thing! It's almost like a drug, I need to get out on my bike at least once a week or I go mad, I find riding my motorcycle my way to relax and if I've had a bad day at work I go for a ride and always come back with a smile on my face. If you ride a motorcycle, you'll understand, if you don't - give it a try! I currently ride a 1999 Triumph Sprint ST that I bought from new and it's the best bike I've ever had, and I've had quite a few. My wife rides a Kawasaki GPz400c2 when she can but she's currently got a sweet tooth for a Triumph Speed Tipple in bright pink (sorry Nuclear Red as Triumph call it) Check out my website for loads of motorcycle stuff.

  9. I wear glasses in class, but take them off for sparring. I attach a piece of elastic between the arms to help keep them in place.
  10. Sibylla, congratulations of passing your grading.
  11. Sibylla, I have the same problem with my feet as you have described, in fact I was going to post the same question today. I have only been training for a few months and I get what I can only describe as cramp in my feet. I have a few blisters etc. these I can deal with but during every class I get this camp type feeling in both my feet that's very painful. I have asked my instructor about it and he's response was that it may be due to me using parts of my feet that I have not exercised before, and that the cramp type feeling is my body's way of telling my to slow down. We also train with bare feet in a sport hall. I used to train with the same instructor over 10 years ago and never had this problem then (I trained for 5 years but had to stop due to family issues) but obviously I was alot younger and fitter then. If you find an answer I would be grateful if you let me know. I have the feeling that it's just something that will pass with time, more training and conditioning. As for your question about water breaks, I always make sure that I've drank lots of water before training, I always have a water bottle in my kit bag and take a few mouthfuls of water when putting pads on etc. We also have a break session after 1 1/2 hours.
