  1. haha rap vador
  2. i disagree,u dont have to be a good competitor to do well in streetfighting.it all depends on ur training and dojo.
  3. Well What kind of karate r u doing??? shotokan karate? kyokushin karate?if u really want a good full-contact Martialart, try kyokushin karate and u'll never regret it.unlike other contact sports, kyokushin karate fights are bare knuckled and have very strict rules.very effective in streetfighting!!
  4. BJJ is a gr8 combat art but not complete.it may be very effective in some cases and not that effective in other.
  5. hey! i do kyokushin karate
  6. even with hand conditioning of the last three knuckles, isnt punshing with the first 2 knuckles much stronger and poewrful cause the bones are bigger and tougher??
  7. well in a street fght, the staff and nunchakus are most useful but the nunchakus is banned in some states.
  8. kyokushin karate: ground fighting:0 trapping throws takedowns:2 fighting (full contact):10 punshing:8 kicking:10 weapons:1
  9. well in kyokuhsin, they spar 100% bare knuckle .btw other arts such as taekwon do and sanda ... depend on points ,in kyokushin, u can win by knowcking the person down or by an ipon.
  10. Well master the basics and in time u will achieve power and speed.
  11. Well there is contemporary ''modern'' wushu and traditional wushu, modern wushu is oriented more to forms and for show.as for traditional wushu, like shaolin ,its oriented to self defense and fighting.Jet li practices modern wushu only for preformance.he's not related to actual fighting.
  12. Well Stick To the basics as said before (stances punching drills ..) but keep in mind that studying alone isnt that good.especially complicated arts.so take my advice and search for a good school P.S:take a second art like grappling cause wing chun lacks ground fighting.
  13. I bet alot of u have been into kyokushin or know abt this specific style, what do u think abt it and how it is different to other japanese arts.
  14. well i study kyokushinkia and shaolin kungfu.when trained correctly, shaolin kungfu can be powerful and dangerous.but unfortunatly most of the so called monks are fake and the schools are widening and shaolin kungfu has lost its essence.
  15. As said before, there is no style superior to another style. It all depends on the practitioner and the instructor. But also it somehow depends on the style,i have been learning kyokushin karate for 2 yrs,i have been in to kickboxing ,san da,taekwon do competitions and found kyokushin has more power ,speed ... so i would go for kyokushin.
