  1. Yeah, but then someone that likes to fight might want to challenge you if you're wearing a MA shirt.
  2. It really does open up way more possibilities.
  3. I think it should be about submissions too. Matches could take alot of time to complete, but I think it would be better.
  4. I've been doing them for over six years so they come pretty easy. The more locks you know the better.
  5. Let's create a general MA t-shirt that says "WE'RE WATCHING". Martial Arts Federation or something like that. It can look really sporty and official. The general attitude of people that would wear this would be that others are safer when I'm around. What do you think?
  6. Well I'll tell you a secret. The next time you do on armbar control the wrist and they can't turn their arm to escape. Let's not call it a wrist lock for the sake of discussion, but a wrist control. The wrist control will come in handy even with a resisting opponent.
  7. The hips and the head, but that's a secret. You'll have to come to our school to know what that means.
  8. I did it for a good while a long time ago. This gives you a pretty good idea of what it's like. Enjoy. http://youtube.com/watch?v=TskDuQcb7wI&feature=related
  9. Actually his philosophy about BJJ is that there is no bad position to be in. You should be comfortable and calm in any position and there are submission from all positions. I studied BJJ before this and if I had known what he's teaching me then, I'm pretty sure I would have been submitting purple belts. This stuff is awesome.
  10. I used to study San Soo with Dave Carter in Whittier a really long time ago. One the most effective MA's out there. I've used it. Where do you study?
  11. I'm not sure how feel about that either. I do have pride for my schools, but I don't really want the attention, unless of course it's from hot chicks.
  12. http://vikingbjj.com/siteb/forums/select.php?mode=view&utid=2 What do you think about this? Do you agree?
  13. Block or strike the arm and move out of the way this will slow them down a bit.
  14. Have you been doing BJJ, Submission Grappling? I'd highly recommend it.
  15. Popped a rib in BJJ. The guy had my back and was going for a choke. I was wiggling my way out when the instructor started to coach him. So I became complient and alwayed him to stretch me and all of a sudden my rib popped. It hurt really bad for a month or so.
  16. So do get back to the point of Wrestling and BJJ. I'd say BJJ is more useful to most fighters and average people than Wrestling would be. There's always going to be someone quicker and stronger.
  17. I've rolled with wrestlers and they are very quick and powerful. I still was able to have control and did just fine. There are ways my friends. True Jujutsu is like fighting an empty jacket. If you can master not resisting, a whole new world will open up for you.
  18. I'm not saying he doesn't have skill, but you have to admit it's really not a large repertoire of skills. He's an amazing fighter, but I'm not impressed with the way he fights. I have a right to my opinion. He's not my favorite fighter.
  19. Thank you. I'm going to be hated for saying this, but I've watched his fights and If you took his incredible strength and athleticism away from him there's not much left. If I wanted someone to train me it wouldn't be him. It would be someone like St. Pierre or BJ Penn.
  20. I don't think they even have it on their site, but you can call them. This hot off the press. It's just starting up.
