I know it sounded a bit petty but, it was joking about a month ago.Now its far past that everyday sneering and degrading comments about how g.a.y i am and how all my teachers are probably lazy fat slobs out for money doesnt consist of a joke to me. The slaping dude is ment to be my ''freind'' and hangs around with all me and my mates and they all like him so it does bother me that none of them seem to notice him he also slaps anyone that disagrees with him to try to prove a point.Thank you all for your help though i will consider what to do

Help me somebody lately a school some people ,not a specific group of people, have been having a go and mocking me because i really enjoy the martial arts and that i take a deeper interest than just doing them and find out things about them .They start with the whole karate doesnt work thing and then go on tohow i should use my training to ''beat up'' people that get cheeky with me ,i tell them that isnt the point to hurt people for petty things so more mocking proceeds. There is one boy who likes to slap people on the face to prove a point he particularly enjoys slapping me and saying ''o your training didnt help then did it'' and such like and i have such an urge to lash out to prove my point that he isnt better.please give me som advice on what to do about this .does anyone think i mite have hav anger issues please help me thank you.

Blocking and then a take down
devilthaiboxer replied to Kung Fu Hamster's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I got some more for you.if some one revers roundous kicks you (do you mean a hook kick) simply step forward into them fast it is very annoying and means your wide open to so amny nice little sweeps and such like. Roundhuse kick are the worst for me for takedowns because there jhust so confusing ( for my lil' head anyways) a favorite of mine is using a muay thai shin block ( just raise your leg out at about 45 degrees so that the kick makes contact with it make sure u tell the person what u r going to do so that they dont hit it full pelt because that will hurt them far more than you) and then I like placing the blocking leg into there stomach ready for a tomoe nage (a judo sacrifice throw) and throwng them gently. if u want help with the tomoe nage ask around som1 will be able to help you but my description will end up with som1 hurt probably.hope this helps. -
Blocking and then a take down

a good takedown for when someone does a step through punch (oi zuki) is rising block there arm using the opposite arm to theres and using the free arm drop your back knee to the ground and grab there front legfrom outside inwards motion and push up with the rising block on there arm and pull up with your other armthey will go up then down if done properly(dont worry if u cant do it its ahrd to xplain without sound like im tlkin random ideas).the front kickis fun bcos der is a sweet lil move u can do dat look dam gud and works and is easy to do (all for only 9.99 in this special tv offer!)wot u do is wen u see them begin to rise there leg for a frnt kick spring forward and gedan barai (lower block) there thigh and punch (gyaku zuki) at the same time to chest .that can often unbalance pplenough to make them fall over or u can step through instead of sliding forward and place your leg behind theres making things a bit easier. I hope this helps ive used these before so they do work but my descriptions arnt very gud. p.s hamsters ar sooooo coool -
Pressure point are taught and used in many arts but alot of people just dont realise it take for xample the basic revese punch in karate. We are taught to aim for either the solar plexus ( if u get hit with a bit of force there no matter how much of a hard guy u mite be its gonna wind u)if aimed at the face we are taught to hit the bridge of the nose (causing swellin of the sinuses or somthing like that makes your eyes water and sting a helluva lot)or the groin (i need not xplain even for women it hurts cos of all the nervesdown there).Even in muay thai there are pressure point used like the inside thigh low roundhouse is a strike to a pressure point and even wen ure pumped full of adrenaline it can be temporarily crippling to be hit der cos your legs gos numb for about 5 second which is all dat is usually neededto end a fight>

its not that it hurts or anything it just wont go i hav no control over it at all and the only way i can get it to go back behind me when i try to return to zenkutsu dachi is by jumping up and putting it back which is stupid cos it leaves me even more open.

After performing a mawashi geri (roundhouse kick) i have alot of trouble returning to stance.I can bend my knee back but my leg just wont let me bring it back down and into stance.I fell really foolish because i just got my greenbelt and i cant even do this and yet everyone else seems to have no trouble just bringing it back.PLZ HELP thank you.

is it true that if you bend your legs more than 90 degrees when stretching or exercising it damages your knees or am I just being gullible .Im not sure because iv read a few internet sources that say it does damage knees but in lessons we often do stuff involving bending more than 90 degrees.thank ya

Could somone give me some exercises to build up muscle in my arms (all the arm) chest thighs and stomach area?
-
i knew all my techniques i had to do but they were all very different from the last few in that they used stances and techniques i had not used before and. Things like kokutsu dachi and the chudan ushiro mawashi geri were the hardest. The order of grades in my school which is shukokai is: white yellow orange green blue purple brown1st brown2nd brown3rd and then 1st dan black
-
does anyone else think that the green belt grading is the first hard grading? my other 2 gradings were not that hard and the techniques werent rely hard to remember or do (except that damned one step) but in my green belt grading there were moves iv never seen before and the ''light'' sparring was very hard

countering roundhouse kick to ribs
devilthaiboxer replied to DIABLO's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
i like stepping out of the way scooping the kick round and spinning round hook kick to the head. it sorta continues your force(momentum what ever you want to call it)if you scoop them hard enough.
