Is there any stretch routine that should be followed if your going to study shudokan karate? Do you think that stretch routines will be integrated into the class?

Black belt tv? Theres a martial art tv station? Why wasn't I informed? -
Well I'm starting highschool next year, that's about the time I'm expecting to get my yellow belt. I was wondering sense there are just too many immature people out there, there is bound to be some jerk that's gonna start something because i'm in karate. I plan to just walk away, but that does lead to even worse things in my expirience. Anyway I wanna know, if the need arises how well will I be able to defend myself, that is if the need araies.

I don't know man, I think it would be a good fight. -
I'm not in it but i'm starting shudokan in May. 12, it's a lot like shotokan it just has some uniqe katas that you don't learn until your like 3rd dan.

^ Well i really need a punching bag, or something free that I can practice on.

Okay I still cannot do this. It says I should feel tingling when I start to focus on it. But I feel nothing. Can someone who has done it give me some pointers.

Yeah but woudln't that be great, then you could really know who the best fighter in the world is.
-
Well how do you strengthen your pucnhes, cause right now my hits are pretty weak. And slow, it took .32 seconds to pucnh and pull it back in.
-
Alright just checking. I actually was kind of looking forward to learning how to break those boards, just because I want to learn how to have very powerful strikes. The deadly weapon thing I'm glad is not true, because things happen and being charged with assult with a deadly weapon woudl suck.
-
No I mean like have tornuments inside all the differnt styles, find the best student. Then have all the best students from all the styles compete. The winnind style would go to the tornument. Then just have all of them fight. Anyway I'm going to a tornument on the 8th of march to spectate the fights between kenpo, karate(probably shudokan and shotokan) and kungfu, I do not know why they are not allowing TDK.
-
1. Is being able to break those boards and bricks really important in karate? And will the average karater instuctor teach it? 2. I heard somewhere that once you reach a certain expirence level in a martial art your force to register yourself as a deadly weapon. Is this true?
-
Well I haven't done a lot of MA but I can tell you now. Practicly any MA would be capable of stoping attackers. Say you got in a school yard rumble. Most people in my school don't know how to fight, I know this from expirience. Most of them don't even know the proper way to punch. If you took either of those MAs to one of those kids you would be able to stop them with ease. In terms of self defense, unless you fighitng someone else with martial art expirience I think any style would do.
-
^ Well how easy/simple/doable is the 8-7(pretty sure it's yellow)kyu test. If I start May. 12 then I will take my first test some time in september.
-
Maybe someone should fund a big tornument. The best from every martial art and style vs. each other.

I know it's funny and all, but when they did that I don't think they did it to make it look like they could float with thier kung fu powers. I think they did it to slow down really fast moves, like them them spinning shooting there guns, in the matrix where you could move as fast as you can it needs to be slown down. That was kind of why they also did that infamous bullet dodging.
