Wow,cool.I hope you enjoy it!What do you want most out of martial arts?

I do freestyle martial arts,Traditional Karate,Taekwondo,Hapkido techniques,Judo,and some others. White Yellow Orange Green Blue Purple Brown Brown with 1 black tip Brown with 2 black tips Black - 1 white tip Black - 1 red tip Black - 2 red tips Black - 3 red tips A lot,but it's all part of learning! I couldn't be happier!

I'm sure you'll be fine.I was worried about my yellow belt grading,but when I read in the manual what it involved it sounds really easy.As for getting ready for your black belt grading,its probably a few belts higher so I wouldn't worry to much about it yet.Have a look @ your manual (if you have one)and have a look at what the black belt grading invloves.That way you can focus on what you need to be practising.You'll be fine! Hi KarateGeorge,I love Cockatiels,I've never owned one though.I had a budgerigar named Cookie.He was green,blue,with some violet and red patches here and there.He was lovely. Hi DWx,I used to have fish.My first 2 were named Kelly and Dianne.And then my other two later on named Pebbles and another name that I can't remember. As there are so many replys I probably can't answer every one of them but thankyou again.I think karate forums is a wonderful place and I can't wait to help others,as well as picking up some info along the way!

Whatever stretchs feel uncomfortable to you,you should not do them.Practice the ones that you have difficulty with that you know are safe at home,so that you can be better at them!

I never realised just how many stretches were dangerous before I started martial arts.Even star jumps are dangerous...

Hi,Well,all at one place,under 3-4 instructors.But as I said before,mostly based on karate.We do a lot of sparring etc.Lots of fun.

Hi Joesteph,I have a problem with commitments.I love martial arts so much that I don't think I could ever leave it for a job.Say if I wanted to go to uni,I wouldn't want to because I wouldn't want to leave martial arts.The people there are great and I have so much respect for everyone there.I mostly do karate,but I also do a lot of other things.I like having variety in it.I think its wonderful being able to talk to other martial artists,about what they do.I hope you find the perfect (dojo?) for you.

Hi,does anyone here do mixed martial arts?I do a wonderful mixture of,karate,judo,kickboxing,Jui Jitsu,and weapons.As far as I know it's mosly based on karate,but I think we have done some Tai Kwon Do also.It is wondeful.I don't think I have ever had so much fun!

A lot of people tell me,being a white belt and all,that if you punch someone and they don't block you,it isn't their fault,it's theirs,because they didn't block you.Although this only applies for white belts (I think)

There are some Filipino martial arts guys with a defined set of biting techniques for grappling work. Deliberate distinctions between nips, chomps, bite-and-shakes, and the like. Really? Thats a bit weird!

13/03/10 100 situps 40 push ups stretches... 10/3/10 @ martial arts. 50 situps 50 pushups running stretchs kicks across the hall mat work punches blocking...lots Training log sounds like a wonderful idea,I'll give u an update later

Keyhorns? Keyhorns are really easy,most involve just 3 kicks.One of them involves a front kick,arching kick and round house. Thankyou everyone for all the replies,I'm looking forward to the grading now!

I like the name Rainbow,it's cute My animals are: Lizzy minature Fox Terrier,Toby Wheaten Terrier,Suzy Fox Terrier,(all dogs)my mice,Nutmeg and Cinnammon,and 2 rabbits (don't get me started,I no longer like those rabbits)Homer and Pepper.The newest arrivals are Nutmeg and Cinnamon,I have had them for 10 days today!

Oh ok thanks. I know the white belt kata very well.I practice it everyday,as well as the keyhorns and sparing techniques.It's a lot of fun.Thankyou for all that.So hopefully I don't need to do any speeches?Yay!

Hi Joe. true.None of my animals fight with each other though.My dogs don't even look at my mice Cinnamon and Nutmeg,my dogs don't really fight together,other than the newest dog arrival Toby,who bosses my other dogs around pretty badly,but they stik up for themselves! And my dogs and rabbits get along ok.Toby barks at them but they don't get scared.Thankyou for the warm welcome.If you don't mind me asking,what sort of karate do you do?I do free style.
