  1. I've got a couple of white, a blue and a black. They get mixed and matched at will. I really don't have a preference.

  3. 8/10 Drilled cross collar choke. Arm triangle review, move to Ezekiel choke off of triangle. Ezekiel from back mount. 40 min free roll.
  4. 8/9 90 min free roll. Tournament prep. Nit picked a lot of stuff thru the rolls to tighten things up. Focused primarily on stuff I'm already good at to focus it for the tournament on the 18th.
  5. 8/8 Drilled sweeps from guard. Flower sweep, flower to arm bar. Flower variant without partner's leg posted. Elevator sweep as well. 30 min hard free roll.
  6. 8/6 Drilled psh thru triangle then triangle from sweep set up. 30 min free roll
  7. It's entirely beside the point. Good instructors are good instructors.
  8. 8/5 Drilled live takedowns. Guard passes. Worked on mount mmaintainence followed by Americana work. 30 min free roll.
  9. 8/3 Drilled rounds of takedowns, guard passes and recoveries. Moved on to arm triangle variants from top for technique. 30 min free roll.
  10. 8/2 2 mile run abs No jits in an effort to get my shoulder feeling better.
  11. 8/1 Drilled attacks from mount. Arm bar. Ezekiel and American to straight arm bar. 30 min free roll. Tweaked my triangle a bit to increase its tightness. Thanks, coach.

  15. I still have a bit of nerves at every tournament I do, and I've competed in a lot of different venues. A bit of excitement is good, your body needs some psychological arousal to be prepped to it's best. If you get back to Chicago to compete let us know. A few of us are in the state, and I'm even close to the city. It'd be cool to see some forum members compete.

Ezekiel choke. 30 min free roll. pm: Drilled mount maintenance. Moved into transition from mount, modified mount, to back. Ran thru gift wrap position and arm bar from there. 45 min free roll. Lots of no gi.
  17. These things happen. To all of us in one way or another. It's a part, a lousy part for sure, but a part of training. You'll shake it off for the next round.
