  1. Will you be going to any of the games? No! Lowest ticket is $441; too rich for my blood. It's free on TV. Like most events here in Las Vegas, ticket prices are through the roof. Triple A Baseball with the Las Vegas Aviators are the most reasonable ticket prices, at around $20. Great game 1. The Knights came from behind to win!! Knights found gold with discipline, offense, and with Hill making 33 saves, with one of those saves an incredible stick save. Knights are now 8-3 when allowing the first goal in the playoffs. The Knights have 9 come-from-behind wins. Game 2 tomorrow in Vegas. Knights have to remain as humble as apple pie because there's still a lot of games to be played. GO KNIGNHTS!!
  2. Not an idea situation from a business whatsoever. Your persistent paid off but only if the belt actually shows up on your front door porch. Me myself, good reviews about this business or not, I'd cast them to the curb and not do any further business with them anymore; just too many red flags.
  3. Congrats, Zaine; well deserved!!
  4. Great fun-facts, KarateKen; thank you for sharing them.
  5. Knights completely dominated the Stars in Game 6 of their Western Conference Finals to the tune of 6-0. At the end of the 1st quarter,, the Knights took a 3-0 lead. Then at the end of the 2nd quarter, the Knights added one more goal to 4-0. Then by the end of the thrashing, the Knights added 2 more goals to a blowout score of 6-0. The Knights were far more aggressive in game 6 against the Stars than they were in games 4 and 5 by far. The Knights attack on the puck was so evident that all the Stars could do was stay on the defense. I believe that the Stars ran out of gas due to how hard they played in games 4 and 5, and when game 6 came, the Knights gas tank was full due to their not so aggressive attack on the puck on games 4 and 5. After all, the Knights took care of business to win games 1 and 2 and 3. In short, game 6 was Goldens for the Knights!! Now onto the Panthers in the Stanley Cup. KarateKen has given us the Stanley Cup schedule...thank you, KarateKen, and looks like the fight for the Cup begins in Las Vegas for the first 2 games, then to Florida for the next 2 games, then both teams go back and form to their respective home ice. January 12th the Knights beat the Panthers at home 4-2. March 7th the Panthers beat the Knights 2-1. So, one can take those stats and come to their own conclusions to address what might happen when the Panthers and the Knights tear up the ice in the Cup Final. The Knights are 6-3-1 against the Panthers in their all-time matchup. One interesting note, Marchessault could be heard on the ice encouraging his teammates not to touch the Campell Bowl. The Knights touched the trophy in 2018 and lost to the Capitals in the Stanley Cup Final. Superstitious or not, the Knights are ready for the fight of their lives against the well-rested Panthers who swept the Hurricanes 4-0. GO KNIGHTS!!
  6. After game three I picked Vegas to sweep. Then win in five. Do I dare pick them to win game six? Eh.....they will win in either six or seven. Knights do NOT want to go to a 7th game because the Stars would just continue with their momentum. Knights need to end it all tonight in Dallas. GO KNIGHTS!!
  7. I've had the distinct honor and privilege to have been a part of KF's milestone growths for the past 15 of KF's 22 years. KF has endured its ups and downs, of which, empty chairs sit around the KF table, that can be viewed as the downs, however, the continued new member growth can be viewed as the ups. Either way, KF as a family embrace each and every member both the seasoned as well as the new with the sincerest open arms. I'm so very glad that KF has been in my life all of them years because KF and its members have made me a better person on and off the floor. Thank you, Patrick, for having the foresight to launch KF and for being a very dear friend and consummate administrator that you have been since day one. HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY KF!! May you continue to live on here as well as in our hearts!!
  8. Well, the 3-0 Knights have now seen the Stars win the last two games!! Here I sit with my head in my hand, however, isn't that how any playoff goes. I still believe that the Stars can NOT win 4 straight games against the Knights. I sure hope I don't end up eating my believes. GO KNIGHTS!!
  9. Welcome to KF, nine1whiskey; glad to have you!!
  10. Just having some fun today; doing nothing so very serious. My style is Shindokan. It's 85% hands and 15% feet; our goal is to get behind our attacker. With that being said... Shindokan is like Football. Very physical, a lot of audibles, and end-arounds with some punts sprinkled in. What sport is your style like??
  11. I'd just have two separate displays to make things simpler across the board. After all, it might show pride in your MA journey.
  12. Las Vegas Knights WON over the Dallas Stars in Game 1 in OT 4-3. Great action and some great goal defending at both nets!! House was sold out too!! Knights WON tonight against the Dallas Stars 3-2 in OT. Knights lead against the Stars 2-0 games. The Knights, in both games, have made the winning goal very quick in the first and only OT for both games. Games 3 and 4 will be in Dallas, TX. After game 4. if more games are necessary, they will flip flop between Vegas and Dallas. Knights might find themselves back in the Stanley Cup since 2018 where the Capitals beat them 4-1 games for the Cup.
  13. Effectiveness!! Without that, consistency and variations, either both together or separate, mean not much at all. At each level, interests are there because the consistent variations are quite evident. Still, that means nothing if effectiveness sits in the back seat as more of a passenger than driver. I've had Godan and above students of mine, especially, cry about this very thing that the OP brings up. My response was to them, their concerns should be that they're not mature in technique enough. The drills and the like are effective, so, stop belly aching and get back on maturing said techniques, and that means said drills and the like...with a smile on their faces.
  14. GO KNIGHTS!! Strange saying that in Las Vegas, but Vegas is starting to host every major sport!!
  15. Only weapons I've ever made was a few crude Nunchaku's, Bo's, and Tonfa's. Not the skills like Noah has to forge weapons the require metals, like the Sai or Kama.
  16. Personally, I've not entertained the notion that the OP suggests. Not for any particular reason, perhaps because Shindokan has a ton or two of grappling in its veins. Well noted is the eye to eye comment because one can't serve two masters. However, if the CI is mature, Karate and MMA teachings CAN get along with one another on the floor, or at least examine the possibilities of learning from each other, even if it's a tad bit.
  17. No matter what I seem to do, the volume is no more than a whisper, even with ear buds.
  18. Thank you, Patrick for the video, however, the volume was very low even with all of my volumes way high.
  19. I've always tumbled dried my gi forever because that's how I was taught by my mom and grandma. Shrink concerns, if any, were always considered when I bought a new gi. So, almost 7 decades later, I still tumble dry my gi. As far as the gi not lasting long if tumbled dried, well, nothing lasts forever.
  20. Congrats, KarateKen; well deserved!!
  21. In order to reacclimate me back into the flow of the comings and goings, I wholeheartedly would enjoy Patrick as a 2nd Manager, please and thank you.
  22. Seeing that Shindokan is comprised of 85% hands and 15% feet, our flow drills are segmentally structured, meaning they're divided into Gedan, Chudan, Jodan, and Mixed. Our aim is to get behind our opponent. The use of our feet are mainly for setting up our hands. Our flow drills that we are taught are to compliment our intended aim at all times. Therefore, we learn how to attack the levels of our opponent, being it Gedan (Low) or it being Chudan (Middle) or it being Jodan (High) or it being Mixed. After all, we either create a weakness or we discover a weakness or weaknesses in combinations of our opponent, hence the flow because no fight in reality is always like a one-step drill. One side note. Because Shindokan is highly steeped in grappling, we've Open flow drills where we use at all levels of the body as well. On the mixed, we start setting up the three levels. For example, we will drill two of the three levels by eliminating the remaining level. Chudan and Jodan. Next time Chudan and Gedan. So on and so forth.
  23. Patrick, I'd greatly appreciate some help with getting me reacclimated once again with the ins and outs. Thank you. ::bagovermyheademoticon::
  24. I've tried to fix things to no avail. Did ADD players but not seeing I did any good!! Double DRAT!!
  25. The martial arts aren't dead. What's dead is said practitioners executing of said techniques effectively. The martial arts shouldn't be blamed whatsoever, nonetheless, the practitioner most definitely should be.
