For my 50th birthday, my wife rented out our HOA's clubhouse, and she brought in Steve's Retro Arcade. The guy basically has a air-conditioned trailer that he loads up with a dozen or so retro arcade games -- you get to pick and choose which ones you want. It was a complete blast.

Some games I did quite well with, but I hadn't played Dragon's Lair in a LOOOONG time, and I sucked royally at it. But it was a blast! My only disappointment was the "pinball" games were digital pinball emulators, not actual honest to goodness pinball games.

The thought of arcade games brings back memories! Didn't really have many games arcades here (at least not like the US ones) but there were usually a few in sports centres, the university students union etc. and they were always a good laugh.

I remember spending far too much money on the streetfighter 2 arcade machine back in the day and being very excited when a special joystick was released for the Amiga that let you replicate all the buttons for the home version!

Now that is AWESOME!

I just looked up their website. This is really cool!!!!

The website says, "Our service area is limited to a 25 mile radius of Dacono, after which a travel fee applies."

I wonder how much a travel fee they would charge to come to Watertown, New York?!?!?!?

Totally get what you mean, Ken. Also, I just looked up Zorbaz - looks fun. I see they are a regional chain in Minneapolis. Always interested to discover new regional chains when we travel.

The brand has grown since I was a kid, they are well known across Minnesota.

Haha, I totally meant to say Minnesota when I typed Minneapolis. Forgot which one was the state, I guess.

That's awesome. I'm also not much of a fan of the digital pinball machines. I get it - cost and maintenance-wise, especially, pinball machines can be so expensive - but it just doesn't feel the same.

I hadn't actually thought that hard about arcades outside of the U.S., so I'm glad you brought this up.
