October 15, 200322 yr Does anybody know what its called when a student lives with his instructor. The student cleans up and basically does everything the instructor tells him to in exchange for training. Thanks!

A student who lives in a dojo and devotes him/herself both to training and to the maintenence of the dojo (and sometimes to personal service to the SENSEI of the dojo).
