Hey, what type of balancing excersises do you do, like i dunno, stand on one leg with your eyes closed or what. I know balance comes, but what can push it along its way a bit?

Hi Yoshie

Try standing in a normal everyday stance. Chamber one leg as high as you can and hold. Then extend kick and move extended leg around finally bringing it back to chamber and down. Try moving an extended front kick across your body. Try multiple types of kicks. Do all this w/o holding onto anything.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try, and keep trying again.

Try all kicks in slow motion without dropping your leg or knee.

try doing multiple kicks with same leg w/out losing balance.

did this one the other night, all with the same leg without putting foot down, first slow then faster:

front kick, side kick, roundhouse kick, hook kick, push kick, axe kick, diagonal kick, inside outside crescent kick, outside inside crescent kick, place your foot back in stance, and repeat.

I kick and stand on one leg. And stances like shiko datci (sorry for the spelling) helps too.
