SoulAssassin Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 Anyone know where to get good meditation music online? I do not want chants, just instrumentels. Thanks! -SoulAssassin"I aint gonna eat, I aint gonna sleep, aint gonna breath till I see what I wanna see and what I wanna see is you goto asleep, in the dirt permanently"
Tibby Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 Orbital is great if you just want instraments. If you don't have Kazaa, get it. http://Kazaalite.com is a great place. You can download music. The RIAA, yeah right!

wingchunner Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 ...Dr. Jeffrey Thompson's stuff. He has done some music to help your brain attune to the different levels of frequency... delta, theta, alpha,.. I use them quite often myself. battousai16 Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 i always thought it was best to meditate in silence, but i'm by no means an expert on the subject. if you get kazaa, be prepared for a whole lot of viruses. Drunken Monkey Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 somethings always puzzled me about meditation music. surely if you need music to meditate then you're not really meditating.... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
Bloodloss Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Well Enigma don't do chants, they do little singing parts kinda. They are good to meditate to. Only in sadness can you find happiness. Only in death will you find life.
battousai16 Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 "somethings always puzzled me about meditation music. surely if you need music to meditate then you're not really meditating...." see, that was my understanding, but again, i'm no expert... wingchunner Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 ...The music can aid in meditation. During meditation, the brain waves slow down to the alpha and theta ranges. Dr. J. Thompson has cd's especailly designed with binurial beats which help entrain the brain to that level. The music is pretty non-thematic which helps you ignore the music and concentrate on the path to your goal of the meditation. battousai16 Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 sounds interesting, but i'd just as soon not use music. just dosen't seem right i guess. whatever. "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
