Ouch!! I have receved a kick in my groin and the pain was just the most unbelieveable pain I ever felt in my life!!I fell to the ground and becoming incompasitated for about one hour :o I still had dire pain for about 6 hours after.I know the female groin is packed with nerves and is EXTREAMLY sensitive and subject to great injury.I know,I had pain and swelling that lasted 4 days! And the doctor said I had a vulva hemotoma. No fun. :bawling: So now I wear groin protection!!

Welome to KF x-woman, yeah protection is a good thing!

You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.

I will listen to my sensei.

He advises that I sit in zanshin and concentrate my ki three inches below the hara. In time the pain and swelling shall pass. If only I didn't have to urinate so frequently.

I shall keep you up to date on my progress......

Ummm.... ok..... listen: if you want to roll the dice with your twig and 2 berries, and sit in zanshin and use your ki, then don't cry to us when you discover Mr. Winkie won't work any more. If you received a strike hard enough to cause bruising on the * itself, then that's not a good thing. Any tissue damage to that area can cause serious problems. Frequent urination? That's another can of worms. Your sensei is probably wise, but unless he is DOCTOR sensei, I'd put his advice in the backseat and drive over to a doctor. I am not joking here. Bruising the shaft of your * or even your "boys" isn't a minor thing.

Have to agree with Rich. For any injury, unless it's Dr. Sensei, listen to your body. Any pain that lasts more than a couple of days, any swelling and/or discoloration, any loss of mobility, SEE A DOCTOR.

Not fun, people, even wearing a cup. I was once at a tourney where I got spin kicked in the cup. No lasting injuries in the long run, but I was slowely leaking semen for about two hours (scared the life out of me)...
