Im in ROTC and we were doing pt(personal training) today. We were doin as many pushups as u can in 2min. I did 114 previously and 104 today.(and yea, i did em right....you do them wrong with a former marine drill instructor wrong and see if u dont get corrected real fast....)I was looking in the mirror and i noticed that on my left peck on the inside where they come together over ur breastbone its like its stairstepped. My peck literaly seems to have moved over and theres another layer of muscle then stairstepped down is my breastbone....its not really sore at all a little tender if at all but im just wondering what the hell happened......yea, this is a weird topic...

114 in 2 minutes properly?? I always thought a proper push up was one where you spent 4 seconds on the down motion...

Anyway, I have no idea about your problem... but if you're seriously concerned you should check with a doctor (preferably a sports specialist).

Currently: Kickboxing and variants.

Previously: Karate (Seido, Shotokan, Seidokan), Ju Jitsu, Judo, Aikido, Fencing.

Um… strange. Is there some other way you can describe? I'm not sure I'm seeign this in my head right. You may just have strange muscle shape.

Look at "Grays Anatomy" it should be in your school library. There are excellent illustrations there, compare this to your muscle, think about swelling which could be going on, and if it really doesnt seem right get it checked out

A Black Belt is just a white belt that don't know when to quit!

If u want a proper pushup put your fist on the ground, thumb facing up towards you, go all the way down and let you chest gently touch. Once you got that range of motion u do it that way everytime. Ill look in Grays Anatomy, its not really swelling, but its still pretty sore. Think of how stairs look then picture that on ur chest with one "step" the front of ur chest to your breastbone. This is hard to explain so ill have to think on how to explain it better

any pain that isnt starting to get better within 3 days needs to be addressed by a physician

Notice he said "pain" not soreness. I just wanted to clarify. Being sore for a week after is normal on your first few workouts, or new progrmas after a break.

When I was doing my lesson doing round house kick i herd the sound of sorts of LOUD crack in my hip bones(no pain) all people in the class about 25 herd it. when I walk to school my leg hurts alot and it took a while to relax it happen everytime when I walk.....in the mornings.

I am still training however, having dabbled in Shotokan and Shotokai Karate. I am please to report that Kenshukai is one of the strongest and most disciplined styles ( i did not write this)
