BLH28 Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 every time i punch, my elbow pops. it does this with both arms, but mainly my right arm. is there any exersizes i could do in order to prevent this, or is this not even an issue to worry about? Also, could you include a workout plan to increase punching power? thanks.
monkeygirl Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 It sounds like you're hyperextending your elbow, which isn't too comfy-feeling! My suggestion is that you avoid fully extending your arm when you punch. You should never fully extend any technique, because you run the risk of hyperextending your joints. 1st dan & Asst. Practise is the Key Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 Thanks a million time monkeygirl Look after yourself both of you ok... WhiteBelt Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 Avoid fully extending when you punch/kick air, but fully extend when you punch a bag/person/wall/stuffed animal/etc.
