in our karate,we were taught a kata called tencho from kung fu which when performed properly can strengthen wrists....any1 herd of it?

Yes i've heard of it and i practice it. And yes it can strengthen the wrists/forearms.

how does it strethen the wrist . forearms . what movements or techniques does that kata have for that ??? and what style do you do of karate ?

basically it is a very flowing kata with alternating motions of the wrists. it rotates the wrists and streches all the muscles, tendons n ligaments n stuff and if u do it properly, ur wrists hurts afterwards! its from kung fu apparently and for my shito-ryo style, where our guard is almost a vertical wrist, its useful for wrist flexibility
