Karateka_latino
Hi, For years, i have been feeling a pain on my lower back when i run. I'm not really sure when but i think It started one day when i was running with weights on my ankles. Do you have any idea why it hurts there? taezee
you may have suffered a pinched nerve..you may want to go see a doctor...also are you wearing proper running shoes? SaiFightsMS
How is the flexibility in your lower back? Maybe you should do some more stretching before you start running. Running in ankle weights may have changed the mechanics of your stride.
KickChick
Well obviously you are an experienced runner if you have been doing it for years. As taezee suggested you might need new running shoes. Also, try keeping your shoulders relaxed and chest out and open. Do not lean forward. Abs nice and tight! Remember not to arch your back and stick your butt out either as this can cause back and hip pain too! Concentrate on getting a full push off with the back leg, and plant the forward foot close to the front of the body. Then, roll completely through the step, and give a good push off in back. In taking a good close review of how you run this might alleviate that back pain you are experiencing.
