WarR
I am wondering if people could help me out with what exercises i should do. I am 5'10, 119lbs, and will be starting classes in either Krav Maga, Aikido, Ju Jitsu, or Tae Kwon Do, in that order. i was wondering if anyone could give me help on what sort of exercise i should be doing to help myself out with each of these martial arts. thank you in advance
Kumite988
WELL I asked this same question a while ago when I started so I'll just pass on the advice I got from the members here. Since this is the first time your starting martial arts then your instructor(s) will take it from where your at and then train you from there. They won't expect you to be full prepared, and they won't say "THIS GUY CAN'T RUN A MARATHON WITHOUT BREAKING A SWEAT?!! HE"S USELESS!". Soooooo I suggest just going to class on the first day with a good nights sleep then ask your instructor what he suggests. Stretching can never hurt though. Especially with TaeKwonDo. Scorcho
Running about 3 times a week never hurt either. You sound pretty light, so try some calesthenics, like pushups, hindu pushups, hindu squats, pullups, etc. Really, though, see what your sensei suggests.
